Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'd imagine we will need to move on a number of the younger lads like Donley, Philips, Devine, Lankshear etc and we need to start acting like a big club with them and insist on buyback clauses or heavy % of profits from next sale even if that means slightly lower transfer fee upfront.
The likes of Philips and Lankshear could well end up PL players in a few seasons so need to make sure we can benefit from that.
I expect Lankshear will prove himself worthy to be an U21 member of the first team squad in pre-season.
IMO he should have not been loaned last season.

Weird fanbase.

A few short weeks ago, when the precipice was being toyed with, the doomsters already talking of free fall into oblivion, and the one-trick ponies trying to corral their less than merry band of 3 dissenting voices, we wanted to sell the whole squad, their children and any descendants, thereafter.

Now, having finished a mighty 17th for the 2nd season running, there are masses beginning to gather on the corners calling for a halt to the talk of sales.

Fcuk me.

The SELL EVERYONE line was always exaggerated

And I think theres probably 10 players people are mostly aligned on being very free to go/sell/release

As always, there are a few that are a bit more difficult to put in that group

And, given the mismanagement of our squad, I think there will definitely be some "would like to keep" players that have to go to make way for new signings that balance things more

Tel ain't going anywhere.
People have short memories.
His corner resulted in the winning Palhinha goal vs Everton.
His cross led to the winning goal vs Villa and he scored the only goal in the draw vs Leeds.
Also, he is still U21 so will not even take a squad of 25 slot next season.

His agent is pressuring the situation to guarantee him playing time imo

Still think we will bring in 2 wingers and he will stay

Are u referring to those who don’t want Tel sold?

We need exits…just maybe start with Dragusin, Vicario, Sarr (reluctantly) and Bissouma…before one of our three players who can actually strike a football competantly.

People forget how young this kid is cos he’s been around for a bit and played for a bigger club than us. Thierry Henry was also raw at this age…on his way to stink out Serie A as a wingback. Tel has all the attributes to be a top, top player; De Zerbi likes him, he can play centrally as well.

Furthermore, when experienced players like Muani had looked devoid of any fight, he took responsibility and was a big part in keeping us up. Keep keep keep!

People were making jokes literally a few months ago about the prospect of our fan base saying that 'well under THE NEXT manager these players might not be so bad' even though the majority of them have been rank under multiple managers.

And now here we are, and that exact thing is happening. I'd still happily see the majority of our senior players in this squad moved on because they've shown over and over again what they are truly about.

The only thing saving most of them for me is the fact that selling 10+ players in a single window is not really feasible

Tel clearly isn't 'starter for a top team in PL' ready. Which is what we should be aspiring to in our front line.

If he's a bit deluded about his own talent and can't see that he really needs more work then move him on.

How are they even comparable though?

Jackson has 19 G/A in 35 and 15 G/A in 30 in the prem

Savinho on the other hand has 11 G/A n 29 and 3 G/A in 24

Can't even call Savinho a one season wonder, maybe a one season meh'der

A lot more comparable when you look at mins played vs appearances....

last seaosn think it was a difference of about 20 mins playing time per goal involvement - in Sav's first season - as a wide player in the Prem - no easy task where many have failed to produce much at all

It's not comparable at all, Jackson has had 2 good/decent seasons, Sav has had 1 good and 1 poor season.

You always bring up mins but I literally said the other day, reason why he stopped getting mins was because he just wasn't trusted, it's relative.

I mean we're going round in circles at this point and for some reason you won't let it go, why :D
