Completely agree. We can’t go out and sign 9-10 new players it never works.

Tel is a good option he has talent but yeah he’s young and raw. I personally think we’ll start the season with Tel and Sávio on the wings, kudus to be eased back in and start again a month etc in. I can’t see us signing another expensive winger when we have basically 3 of them to come back to fitness and two coming through the academy. It’s a big balancing act and people will shout oh we can rely on injured players to come back but we have no Europe, so 3-4 players on the wings it’s more than enough and a starting 2 of Sávio and kudus is good with tel coming on a maybe Moore.
Dropping a further 50-80m on an another winger when you have 3 to come back is just financial suicide, I don’t care how much money people think we have it’s just dumb. I think Moore will stay until Jan, play in the cups and from the subs bench with tel until January when we assess Kulu and odoberts recovery and we’ll make a call then on whether to loan him back out depending on how they progress. At 21, recovery rate from acl injury is average 7 months so Odobert may well be back sooner than we think but we’ll ease him in and 9 months is November anyway.
I think wilson on free could be an option I guess but he’ll want at least a 3-4 year contract and puts us in a situation where next season by the April we’ll have likely tel, kudus, wilson, kulu, odobert, Simons, Moore. 7 players for 2 positions with no Europe.
I agree Lange. So many players coming back from injury we should sell attackers not buy them.

Been thinking how to sow this into the discussions.

If you look at our last 5 results, we got 10 points. We were on the floor before that, no win in months.

If you expand that 2 points a game over a season, that gives 76 points, which would have been 2 behind City.

Is it unrealistic to hope DeZerbi might maintain that rate? Maybe even improve it with a better squad who are collectively confident and deeper embedded into a coherent structure/style?

Leicester surviving 2015 keeps nudging my memories, maybe a bridge too far, but maybe we emerge a completely different animal next season.
We can all dream but that is just not close to be realistic. You just do not get over night to a title challenger when you looked like losing every game you play. Mind we played a few teams that had nothing to play for or were focussing on Europe (Villa).

We are well advised to be humble and look first to stabilize our form and first and foremost move away from the relegation zone. The league is tough and our fundaments to build a succesful team weak. We could use new players with more quality all over the pitch...

"I love Scottish players" threw me. 😆

He's right about the mentality tho.
We’re now gonna get a load of these turning up
