It is ironic to see all the transfer talk being on defenders and midfielders. We could all see, especially in the last games of the season, the defence wasn't bad at all but if they conceded one, we had about as much hope of scoring an equaliser, much less a winner, as the second coming. Why are we not prioritising a goalscorer?

Ipswitch were a struggling team (bounced from L1 into the prem!) but they werent hoofball at all

I feel that the fact he only extended for 1 year is indicative of him wanting out, and he only signed that extension under threat of legal action from the chubby Bubble. He's also missed out on a WC call up which, after his last season with Forest, MUST be making him think that his international aspirations would be better served at a bigger club.

IMO, the extension was just a stay of execution. Now, it's more a question of who he goes to rather than when.

Contracts... we just dont know, do we?

Could be he has a solid "out" from it, or could be like last year and Marinakis will just whatever the fuck he likes and MGW is incapable/too intimidated to do anything about it

Given how he has acted in the past, I wouldnt put it past Marinakis to make a point of holding him this summer, and then holding MGW to gunpoint to sign another new contract....

Id like to think youre right, but this guy is a nut, and so who can even tell?

I'm hoping that under DeZerbi we don't need one player to provide all our passing options. Surely the idea is to have the whole team able to pass and move effectively.
