£60m total including full bonuses hopefully? I was hoping for quite a bit less than that as a base fee.
Sounds high to me. Im guessing the add ons element are quite high and ambitious.

Wharton is not as good as many think. He needs to be better than he is.
He isn't going to United or City. That lot don't need him. Filth, the same you would think. Aston Villa may have different priorities, and Liverpool? Newcastle might be tempted, but would Wharton see that as progress - not sure.
Maybe Wharton goes abroad but I think he is a good to very good, but not brilliant player.
If he us nearing the last 2 years of his contract I suspect 1 or 2 clubs may bide their time.
