Harry Kane can do what he wants.

Levy has no control over this.

If Levy wants to sell; Kane does not have to go.

What does look more and more possible is that unless Kane agrees to be sold, for the fee that Levy wants; Spurs will not complete the deals that need to be done for the central defenders this team is desperate for.

The rumour was that VDV had agreed personal terms.

What else could be holding the deal up?
Kane wants to go and he will be doing us a massive favour if he goes to Bayern, we get a fee and we don't see him line up for United or the Chavs.

As for VDV, we just don't want to pay the fee.

Not to me.

I started supporting Spurs in 77.

Before Fergie's 92 team Spurs were better than United over my first 15 years as a supporter.
I obviously meant over the period described on the original post.
United were relegated in 74 — 6 seasons after they won the European Cup. They were bang average until Fergie but became a juggernaut under Fergie and, importantly, when the EPL exploded globally.
Over that growth period, we stagnated and missed our opportunity to join the elite teams. It would have taken a relatively modest investment to get us to that level then. Now the cost is prohibitive to all except those with the deepest pockets.
Timing is everything. If only that explosion occurred in 1960 then we would be Real Madrid.

Or we don’t want to pay the fee they want just like any team in the history of transfers when buying a player. Or they have agreed the fee but not how it’s going to be paid or when. Basically we don’t know, so no point getting our tits in a twist about it. But the club know we need defenders, it’s been said twenty times since the window opened.

Imagine Dier and Davies starting in 2023. :kanehand:
Sad Anthony Anderson GIF

Such a shambles. Peasantry of the highest order, similar approach to Mike Ashley albeit slightly less of a cunt but still an absolutely power crazed, megalomaniacal tyrant
Those of us with Levy radar know that if Kane is to be sold it will be at the last minute as the window is closing.

The smoke and mirrors will probably be 2-3 players arriving, at the same time, to lift the spirits of those who wish to be fooled by 'the project' .

The project is ENIC and Levy rinsing Spurs supporters forever.

I find it hard to honestly judge Mudryk based on Chelsea's season. He got thrust into the league off the back of a ridiculously large fee and then spent most of the season managed by Frank Lampard in a team that had nothing to play for and really couldn't care.

I would not be surprised to see both him and Enzo Fernandes start to look more like actual footballers next season. They will both always come under scrutiny and be under the microscope due to their transfer fees but I think both will end up being productive for them.
Solomon was about the same standard as him for Shakatar

Well fucking obviously 🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure clubs would all have been happy with all their signings completed in May.

But it's one big fucking reach to think we in would be in any way hindered if we signed a centre back on the 1st of August
For next season we will have a new manager and new coaches. We will play a different formation and be using different tactics. I reckon it’s a learning curve for all players at the club , old and new. That’s why it is very important that we get the new boys in a.s.a.p in order for them to gel and adapt as soon as possible.
2 new starters in a.t.m . The new keeper needs to blend with his defenders esp the centrebacks and the centrebacks in question need to form a partnership themselves. Getting new players in is essential a.s.a.p

We don't just need defenders but quality ones, if we go for Fazio quality we just end up making more problems for ourselves.
