I'm liking your new found optimism. It's rather infectious.

Here's to binning kane and buying a relatively untested cb from Germany as our marquee signing

:ange-arms:
Kane is dispensable

I'd be losing my shit if Richarlison was being touted to leave

And I really do believe there is untapped potential within the likes of Dier and Sanchez

I think that's why we've held fire on buying new CBs

I reckon Ange told Daniel that he doesn't want any new CBs and the club are merely backing their man

Exciting times ahead

Please remind us what "level" we were at before they arrived to "pull us down to their level"?

Funny; cos I distinctly remember you saying you'd taken 10-20 (maybe more?) "years off".... Before eventually starting to follow Spurs again around the same time that you joined TFC. (Perhaps this is why you find yourself making ignorant statements such as the one above?)

Post bollocks >>> Get patronised.

Seems fair enough really.

Sadly during the 90's and early 2000's we were generally in the bottom half of PL table.

Highlight of the season at that time seemed to be in April to check we had got more than 40 points to avoid relegation.

2005/06 broke the mould finishing 5th - our highest finish in 20 years - four years after ENIC bought spurs.

And since then our AVERAGE position has been about 4th or 5th. With European football most seasons.

So a huge change.

Always room for improvement - but for example we had about 7 years finishing above Liverpool, and same for Woolwich and ManU which is a decent standard.

Cracks starting to appear already :ange-bored2:

Does this excite you Joan?

You're just a happy clapper, bro. You'd be more measured if you threw in a "fuck Levy" rant somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd paragraph.

That lineup includes:

- Two wing-backs who have exclusively played in 5 at the back setups. They are young. One we know is defensively questionable already.

- A very young goalkeeper who we really know very little about.

- A CM (GLC) with a horrific injury record, proven to be disappointing in English football thus far.

- A Son Heung Min coming off by far his worst ever season who is 31 and pace reliant.

- A player we in all probability will not sign.

- A player who scored all our goals last season who wants out. Our only top class footballer.

On the positive side Bissouma I expect to be fantastic as he is genuinely great, Maddison is a lovely little pick-up, we probably will sign a partner for Romero who I still do think is good when he's not being an idiot & Bentancur is a solid, reliable CM when fit.

The lineup has so many question marks in it that it's actually scary.

Lewis taking an interest….that’s a first. Hang on though ,an interest in money, ah I see now.
Sell him. I don’t think anyone gives a fuck any longer.

I don’t think slippy Joe made his billions through being sentimental.

It’s a headliner. England captain agitating for a move to a shit league and bully their way to trophies.

Fuck off there Harry. Please just go. Lose your chance of being the greatest of all time in the PL to win a league trophy or 3 they’d win anyway.

Genius stuff.

You’ll still come up short in the big games and I will windmill my cock outside the stadium if BM win the CL while you’re there.

Have a set of balls and do it. We’re all tired now.

The point isn’t that we improved from below 10th to 5th. No one in their right mind can dispute that (although some here have tried).
It’s about the missed opportunities if we could only have been bought by someone else. If only we had been bought by a Time Machine inventor who transported us back to 1960 then we could have won the double every year. Curse that bald bastard!

Flippant and off-topic. I might card myself.

My enjoyment of this thread is now a drip feed of schadenfreude from watching you gullible fucks turn into punch-drunk fan versions of that ‘oh, not another one’ meme.

You are being lied to. Wait for an official announcement.

What about not starting a sentence with the words ‘AND’ ?

Formation error: You have added more than 5 players in a row. Please amend your formation.

Great post. Agreed.

Those talking of greatness by going to a team that always win the Bundesliga are living in fantasy land.

Personally I will be cheering on all Bayern opponents in the CL, apart from other English clubs, where I will be neutral.

The chances for silverware have been there, be that for us, where the great Kane has been supposedky surrounded by dross and yet the same with England's best. Common denominator???

The only answer is to go to near certainties. What a joke really.

And nope, I am certainly not angry but it's just a strange move, which I doubt will be this raging success some think it will be.

But yep, sooner gone now the better..

He literally personally called Lenglet to convince him to come, please stop with the revisionism.

Don't know where you get your info, but it was Paratici that wanted him. Conté was prepared to try him because he wasn't going to get anyone else. So Yes, Conté, had called him and spoken to him about coming but he wasn't spotted and chosen by Conté. Conté had realised not having him would mean it's Davis, Sanchez and Tanganga had to play.

In Case you hadn't read it.

In case you didn't know, Conte already spotted him when he was at Inter:

Conte liked Davies, and at times started him over Lenglet. The idea that Levy could force Conte to accept a player he didn't want is simply ridiculous when you look back at last season, and signings like Danjuma and Spence. Conte absolutely wanted Lenglet, and why would that surprise you? Lenglet is like a worse Bastoni. Both defensively soft, with a great left foot.

Go to near certainties… best take I’ve heard.
Grab a few “trophies” in a league where only one team wins the trophies. That’s really pushing yourself. Bravo Harry.
Then come unstuck in the CL at the business end of the competition when you meet a genuinely good team.

I hope he fucks off and falls flat on his arse there.

Absolutely bored to death of this now.

You want to go? Take yourself and your family to a land locked shit hole and enjoy pork, trees & meaningless trophies pal. Bon voyage Harry

You know this how?

Or are you just talking out yer arse?
If you call the the orifice below your nose an arse, then I suppose I do speak out of it.

In this case though, with your intelligence, I would have thought you'd correctly state that I was thinking out of my arse, as you had read it and had not heard me say it. Then again I suppose, even Monkeys have some form of intelligence.

Running a football club is a pretty complex operation. By all indications, Tottenham have not done a good job at that in recent years.

It’s just hard to take someone seriously that doesn’t understand capital letters and whose most recent accomplishment is the use of paragraphs.

And the Brits like to a say it’s us yanks that butcher the English language. Jesus fucking Christ on a stick.
Congratulations, 10 points for your Grammar. And 10 bonus points for Mentioning it on a Forum where I bet most people don't give a Shit. Go back to watching Soccer,

Yes, I used Capital Letter for Soccer, and a few Extra randomly just to Piss You Off A Little More.

You’ve got to laugh at the idea the club has given him an ultimatum - sign or we sell you, when selling him is exactly what he wants.

It’s like telling someone stick your dick in a hornet’s nest or be motorboated by a couple of DD titties.

This club, man. Run by some of the most dunderheaded, moneygrabbing pieces of shit around

Last full week of July, if the CB situation doesn't see serious movement this week so we can at least have them train with Romero for a couple of weeks if not play in a friendly together, we aren't serious about moving forward and probably gonna have a really tough start. Come on Levy pull the fucking finger out.
