Quote me later: This is smart business by the club, even if he's a project this season.
Ultimately; 35m quid doesn't make me blink.
(For want of reference; still cheaper than Dav & Romero.... )

Maybe that's Kane himself playing LevyDream scenario would be levy spends all of the money he thinks he will get from kane on transfers we need, delaying the sale so we don't have to deal with inflated prices....and then bayern pull out of the deal, so we are left with kane and levy has accidently pulled the transfer trigger

I wouldn't expect him to play having missed preseason.I don’t know why it took so long, but I’m glad it’s done. Welcome VDV.
No pressure, but we want a masterclass against Brentford next week.![]()
Yeah we need another of proper quality or one injury or a suspension and we're fucked again
Doesnt matter. He has to be better than what we have. Chuck him in Ange
"Purely potential" is underrating him. He's not the finished product, but he's already a good defender.Yikes that's a lot of money for what many have said is purely potential and not yet ready. Hope he realises that potential pronto![]()

We don't have them over a barrel though, we don't accept their offer, it doesn't really hurt them. They will go on and get someone else. While we watch Kane walk away for nothing. One good reason to really have Bayern over the barrel on the price is to make it hard for them to sell him back to a PL rival in a year or two.
It does matter, if he starts making mistakes because he's not fit enough that could cost us the match and badly knock his confidence.Doesnt matter. He has to be better than what we have. Chuck him in Ange
More than 100m euros including add ons, so probably slightly over 100m eurosWhat is the new Bayern offer?
If it’s decent take it and get these others in quick. Kick off next week Levy!
It seems like we have them over a barrel at the moment due to heightened emotions but come November when Kane still hasn’t signed a deal and every loss/draw is clouded by “is Kane’s head already in Manchester?”We don't have them over a barrel though, we don't accept their offer, it doesn't really hurt them. If Romero is fully fit & focused, he defo has the tools to play LCB. And I'd defo trust Emerson at RCB...guy is good defensively, not rash, and he always gives 110%. Would cover for Romero whenever he steps upRB I’m not worried about as Emerson is quality defensively. Porro can be unleashed against teams that sit back.
LB bit more concerning but Davies isn’t a disaster and Udogie has the talent to adjust.
CB is much more worrying. VdV is a raw prospect but may take a year to be PL ready and iron out flaws. I wonder who will start alongside Romero.
Both sides have each other over the barrel. They have no alternative striker at this point. That's why the deal is going to be more or less fair to both sides. It seems like we have them over a barrel at the moment due to heightened emotions but come November when Kane still hasn’t signed a deal and every loss/draw is clouded by “is Kane’s head already in Manchester?”
Then it’ll become clear that no. Bayern had us over a barrel, not the other way around.
Yeah but then Bayern could be in second behind Dortmund, struggling for goals because their second choice wasn't as good as Kane.It seems like we have them over a barrel at the moment due to heightened emotions but come November when Kane still hasn’t signed a deal and every loss/draw is clouded by “is Kane’s head already in Manchester?”
