It would be perverse to have a clause that said if we get CL after 6 months ignore it if we don't get CL after 18 months.

I think Ben Davies will stay as back up LB, as neither Sessegnon nor Reguilon have cut it and nor Perisic except as a winger.
We will probably be one HG player short if he goes - unless we buy someone like Gallagher (but not at the mooted £50m)
