Although he deems davies having those attributes to play him. I’d rather royal in at cb than davies. He needs turfing out.
Having said that getting a bunch of players in isn’t the be all and end all. Looks Chavs last year. We need the team to be organised in and out of poccesion.

Ange probably requires that his LCB be left footed. No choice but to go with Davies for now as he is serviceable and has decent passing skills for a CB.

Still can’t believe Ange went on tours without a CB
Not up to him. Annoying as it is, our game is long. Don't like it - then you need to strap in.

I guess you mean "had to" and you are right. That's just not how our gravity works.

How about: "I'm actually excited about this season. The system and the players we have just need a couple of more pieces. Yes we're going to get thumped in a few games, but, for the first time in maybe 3 years - there will be entertainment".

Worth it's weight.

So conflicted over Kane, a large part of me thinks we should cash in while he's still definitely ours to sell, but a possibly larger part of me just wants the chance to see him play as much as possible knowing it will be his last year with us. I think, even though he was brilliant, last season just left a bitter taste in the mouth. If we can watch him flourish in a front foot attacking system that gets arses out of seats it will be a feel-good end to a magnificent Tottenham career. Who knows, however unlikely, he might sign if he likes what he sees. He's one of our fucking own, after all.

We know there is an offer of some sorts, and that it is significant. Of course it is tangible. Even an offer of 10 quid has tangibility when we are discussing its very acceptance

When assessing this decision what has happened previous shouldn't have any bearing in my mind. No one can deny what Harry has achieved. He cost us nothing and we have reaped the rewards of that. Quids in.
That doesn't change the fact though that as of right now, in the present, we have a potential lost opportunity cost of £100m (ish) if he leaves on a free next summer.
I'd love him to stay but only if he will renew his contract. Even a 1 year extension if that's what it would take. If he doesn't we will see him at a PL rival in 12 months.

£100m and off to Bayern to bang them in against German farmers would soften that blow and Ange can get on with the proper rebuild we talk about every year.

An offer without acceptance is nothing more than a promissory note or intent of goodwill i.e. an intangible asset. Harry is the tangible asset and his value goes or stay with him. Holding my hands up I make full admission about not giving a moments thought over potential lost opportunity costs even though it rolls easily off the tongue.

After Sheringham, Modric, Berba and (to name a few) Bale this saga with H is much ado about nothing, quite tedious in fact. I wouldn't be surprised if BM come back again in the following days and who knows their bid might be accepted and we'll have something tangible to talk about.

He's not going to Chelsea. People are obsessed with this.

Firstly, not gonna happen. Poch probably won't even be there. And even if he was, it ain't happening.
And secondly, well I don't need a second cos the first was so great!

Nailed on to happen now. Any bookies have a spec bet open yet?

What? I never said that at all. :/

I'm simply saying that, whatever anyone's views on whether Kane should stay or go, to call €30m 'fuck all really' is insane.

30m euros clearly is fuck all to the club if we're willing to turn down 100 million to keep Kane for another season.

*If* we do that then all the 'be financially sensible' stuff goes out the window. Because that would be the opposite of a financially sensible club.
