Why would Dier start? He hasn't been in any starting team in pre-season.
If he starts after yday plus what his fine last season then there is something seriously wrong. Ange would look weak imo if he dies t have the balls to not start dier. If he has the balls he’d be better off starting Sanchez v Brentford. Davies ain’t gonna cut it as they are a physical team with pace. Simple ball over the top or down the side and his fucked.

It was a preseason game, I see some people saying on FB to keep Sanchez on the basis of what he did in that match!!!!
So it works both ways. You can’t wax lyrical about Ange ball or any of the players performances as it was preseason then? Also if Sanchez played well in “only” a preseason gane then dier played crap in same only gane. Can’t pick and choose. We Dav is not great but surely he has the better attributes to play in anges system than dier and davies.

Brentford getting absolutely rinsed after trying to take us for 40m. I have no idea why Woolwich would trigger a non-obligatory buy clause in 2024 when he’s available for free in June. Unless the buy clause is automatically triggered then Brentford appear fuckt.

Edited to add: Being claimed by some tweeters that he extended for a year?

Re-edited to add: Ornstein is confirming the Raya extension.

It is still an odd decision by Brentford if we really offered £40 million.

Something tells me we offered less than Woolwich or rated Vicario higher.

On account of his pace alone he should be ahead of Dier

Assuming Micky isn't ready yet the logical option would be Davies to start alongside Romero. Davies is a lot faster than Dier and left-footed, what makes more sense.
Just cs t believe people think davies is still a starting 11 player in 2023. When will people wake up! Davies was at fault for the shaktar gosl. His slow as well and not tall enough or physically enough fit CB. Brentford would simply target him like last season and get behind him or just put balls in the air.

Options for saying “I told you I had good news”:

“Good news! Levy sold Kane for €100 million”
“Good news! Levy sold Kane for £100 million”
“Good news! Kane is staying.”
“Good news! Kane is staying and would potentially evaluate considering a contract extension if Ange ball turns out well.”
“Good news! Kane is staying, but already has a precontract with [someone bigger than Tottenham] FC. He is One of our Own and it is only fitting we fought to keep him until the end.”

And so on.

The lad is always right.
