You never said at all for your past 3 posts..... Kinda th epoint of the my questioning...... The only thing you referenced was the pricetags....... Ergo 2+2=4 on my part........But you were thinking something else..... I wasn't to know.

So you don't think we'd buy them no matter the cost?
I think we would buy them but at nowhere near the prices quoted. As I said before levy won’t part with that money for potential but I’m all for it to be honest. It’s all rumours anyway so the likelihood is we aren’t in for any never mind both.
If all the rumours were true it would make more sense to get those two for the same price as Brennan Johnson.

Fun Wikipedia fact. The Ghanaian academy that produced Nuamah actually OWNS Nordsjaelland.

Kind of a bit of reverse-colonialism there, if you like.

The player is a left-footed left winger and was the Danish league Player of the Year last season and doesn't turn 20 until November.
Yep, pretty much all of the best Ghanian talents play for them and the general focus of the team is to provide first team football to the most talented bunch and sell them off to the highest bidder. If you look at the average age of the team in the last few years, 20yo seems to be the average.

Don't think Felix would come here, but I'm very interested to know what kind of deal structure Atletico would be proposing, surely they'd want a good €30M on top of Hojbjerg to let him go considering how much they paid for him...
Probably a load of old bollocks anyway.
I highlighted Felix in another thread but he is an absolute no brainer. He will take 50M I would imagine but I believe at Tottenham he would finally join a club that would allow him the ability actually showcase his game and plat in his proper position (I also believe he would flourish at Barca).

He joined a train wreck of a club in Chelsea and his ability compared to anyone else in that team was night and day. The touch, the ability with the ball, passing etc were all there. At just 24 he is still very young and with a player with world class potential like he has Tottenham can possibly have a star player. Ange is an attack minded coach who could really help Felix in my opinion.

Although never being worth 120M, what he showed at Benfica was world class potential and even at Atletico he showed glimpses of it, however he plays for the most robust defensive coach in the world who consistently played him out of position.

Spurs have the money (Barca don't) and this kid is looking for a way out. Tottenham need to be ambitious and target this level of talent for their rebuild. To put into perspective Woolwich dropped 60M on Haverts who is not as talented as Felix is.

You can say whatever you would like but on talent alone he walks into this Spurs starting 11 with his eyes closed IMO.

Wouldn’t mind if we spent a combined £50-55m on both him and Orban

Could have bought Tapsoba with that money though?

I’ll be amazed if we spank that amount on two kids from those leagues. They won’t immediately go into the fist XI and improve the side. Maybe if they were £10/15m each we would at a stretch but that’s it. Levy didn’t even want to give MK Dons £5 million for Dele without Pleat having to plead with him to do it for months.

Thanks for putting together.

Other than Lloris to Lazio, who have just transferred a GK, I'm not that confident that more than half will come off, and some of those on loans so we face a similar problem next summer. But we should be able to free up more of the wages budget, even if we don't generate much if anything in fees.

The incentive for most of the players should be they know they won't be playing at Spurs next season, so its to their advantage to try to move club........ and that's the only chance that more than half will move.

Another to join your list - Spence to either Palace or Southampton, if the former might help us get Eze.

But there’s photos of Lloris training yesterday with us so that can’t be that close unless he’s just topping up his fitness.

Might be enough money to push the Hojbjerg transfer over the line.

He’s talented and skilful but I’m not convinced he can influence a game of football tbh. Probably outstanding in training, small sided games etc

If we look at his career trajectory he has hardly been placed in a situation to succeed. Many times choosing the correct club matters in terms of development.

At Benfica he was placed behind the striker in a 9.5 role (not a striker but not a playmaker but somewhere in between) and he excelled. At Atletico whenever he played in a similar role he also performed well but most of his time there was spent outwide and out of position. At Chelsea once again he was placed in a titanic level sinking club and asked to perform.

At Spurs without the added pressure of a 120M price tag and playing in a favorable role for a club that would give him the time to develop and perform I believe he would excel.

Of course maybe you are right as well but I don't believe he was ever given a fair chance at the next level post Benfica.

At 24 and if he is available at a explainable price is he not worth a chance? because if he hits you win the lottery in terms of resell but also on the field production.

Yeah you might be right. Perhaps on a loan with an option to buy? Definitely talented don’t get me wrong but I’m unconvinced - I do agree that Atletico and Chelsea weren’t the right fit

I actually like that idea as well. A loan with a buy option probably safeguard Tottenham from a potential loss of money but at 24 and under Ange I truly think he can succeed. Tottenham are rebuilding and he checks many boxes as a player who can succeed that Spurs can also attain at this moment and time.

I don't see us spending 55-60m on a player from another league under this ownership, or at least not any time soon. Firmly believe that the Ndombele saga burnt Levy bad to the point where he'll only pull the trigger on players where he knows what we're getting.

Don't necessarily disagree with your second point, but we'll need to adapt. For the EPL transfer fees have changed to the point where we either pay:
  • through the nose for English HG players
  • substantial fees for good/great players from other European clubs
  • a premium for high potential youngster.
  • 5-10m for completely unknown young punts from South America
In other words the whole market is fucked.

Only when people keep making the same facile point about other posters. Give the ENIC shill a rest will you. People want money spent on the club with the highest season tickets in the country, go figure. I actually showed huge restraint in not calling your BS "Oh look didn't people want us to buy this player " crap the first fifteen poxy times you made it. Your very very obvious.

Otherwise, everything's fine with you? Or do you have some more pent up anger you need to rant about?
