How exactly is that advancing the conversation? I'm simply explaining that getting rid of deadwood is not a problem only for us, but for all clubs. It's absolutely relevant to the conversation of the last few pages, where many seem to think that we are the only club struggling to remove deadwood - we're not.

How does looking at other clubs advance the conversation about Spurs and our scammy owners?

A lot of people disagreed with my post that we should keep Kane despite the £100m fee.

Maybe they thought we’d spend the money on transfers. But owners have pocketed it- just like the ticket price gouging.
Are you seriously saying that the owners have taken the £100m Kane fee, somehow removed it from the club, and put it into their own personal accounts? If you have anything to back that up, I suggest you contact the authorities, as that would be an extremely serious fraud matter.

Read what I just wrote. Many on here are behaving as though we are the only club which struggles to get rid of deadwood - we're not. Criticising our management for something whilst simultaneously failing to reocgnise that all other clubs have the same problem is just totally disingenous. My point advances the conversation by recognising that our 'scammy owners' aren't doing any better or worse than other owners when it comes to removing deadwood.

Honestly mate, sometimes I really enjoy debating with you, other times it's painful, you're a real Jekyll and Hyde poster. :/ It's ok to concede a point sometimes, it doesn't have to mean you fold your whole argument.

I’ve always wondered why a club like Spurs doesn’t own a Belgian, Dutch or Danish club and use them to develop talent. For the price of one player nowadays you could probably buy an entire team. I guess there are rules around ownership / farm teams in Europe.

It's full-blown silly-season now....... Shame; normally the stupidity in this thread mostly subsides sometime after lunch. I guess speeps are just bored waiting for our game.

We wanted to do that some time back, but it got outlawed.

Since attentions shifted to new stadiums, covid, then our recent flubbing and Lewis's recent 'retirement' from the club; buying a 2nd club is probably the last thing on ENICs mind.

Punts on reasonably priced (perciveved) high ceiling players?

Isn't that something that Levy is so often criticised for?

Veliz, Udog, VVD, Gil, Sarr......?????

I did think about VDV when typing this. Ultimately he's in the premium player category. 35m ish for a player from a big league.

Veliz, Gil, Sarr all under 20m.

Orban and Numah are 25-30m players that are coming from smaller leagues as highly sought-after talents. That's scary hours for Levy.

He's 99% going to bottle it and dither until both are gone.

Each club has a different situation. Our deadwood has been here 3 years and outlived numerous managers. It was unthinkable that we;d start the season with Davinson or Dier as CB options, yet here we are.

Other clubs win things. Our owners deliver all the bullshit and none of the rewards. They behave like a scam.
