If that's what you want to choose to believe be my guest

I choose to believe Mason saying directly in a press conference that not having a coach or DOF in place with a strategy means we can't be active in the transfer market.

If you choose to believe unsubstantiated rumours, with no sources quoted, from members of the media that have very recently been embarrassed by the Slot story, you be my guest.

Bless you.

Let's make a bet.

The following two things will come true:

We won't sign a player before we appoint a DOF and coach.

The players we are linked to will suddenly change once we have a DOF and/or coach in place.

You taking my bet wank fox?

I'm not taking that bet because I agree, we most probably won't sign a player before a DOF.

That doesn't mean the club aren't actively looking for players at the moment which you refuse to believe.

Can we recruit players without a DOF and Coach in place? (My argument is/was no)

Are our rivals already making deals and recruiting to their strategy before the window opens (My argument is/was yes)

Your original argument was against both of these points because the club is recruiting before with or without a DOF and coach.

No it wasn't, you've moved the goalposts

This was my OG argument and always been my stance

And somehow you couldn't get your head around the fact the club are actively looking at players without a DOF and now you've changed it to recruiting 🤷‍♀️

In that post you have linked there:

"And is it realistic that the staff currently in the front office would start positioning and negotiations for players ahead of the transfer window opening but without knowing what direction the.new DOF and manager want to go in?"

Exactly the same goalposts wank fox.

Positioning and negotiating ... recruiting.

Sure a scout can scout players without a DOF in place but who and what are they scouting for?
And even if they do scout the player, the club won't start recruiting them until a DOF and coach are in place.

Our competitors absolutely are doing that and they are doing that because the earlier you bring in the player the better. The more time that player has to adjust and adapt to what the coach wants.

This is possibly matters even more when it's a new coach and all the squad is adapting to what they want.

Oh dear...What kind of mental gymnastics is this ffs 😆

Read the actual debate in full not from when you stuck your oar in and confused yourself.

I didn't mention anything about recruitment, you did - you literally just said it yourself here ffs lol
