Then we are short of what we need to compete for anything other than a place in the top 8.

And I will be proved right

The squad, as it is, is not good enough for am assauult on top 4.

No striker and no chance whatsoever.
Top 8 will be easy. Top 5 is also possible but we have the Kane money, so there is no reason why we shouldnt spend it on a striker/forward to improve our chances for CL. Serious lack of ambition if we dont.

Not sure what you are talking about.

We need a striker , not Sasquatch.

Do you mean in all competitions? Cause Kane scored 25+ once in the past five years in the league.
Kane scored 210 goals in 9 full season for us. Thats an average of 23.3. Close to 25..

Excluding the years where he was injured to not play even 30 matches. Then it comes to 175 goals in 7 seasons. Exactly 25 goals a season

What we need is someone who gets 20 or somewhere close to it every year. Not the Richarlisons and Brennan Johnsons of this world who struggle to get to 10 a season.

That does not mean that he guarantees 25 goals a season, he more often than not scored under 20 in recent seasons.

I just think it's funny how Kane transformed into a mythological figure who scores with every shot and guarantees 25+ goals.

The only seasons he didn't score 25+ in the league were his badly injury hit ankle seasons where he was often just nowhere near fit most of the time, and the season he wanted to get out of the club. When Kane is fit and focused he's basically certain to get you 25+ and probably 30+.

Yes . The two seasons when he got injuries and the one where he wanted to leave.

If we can buy a striker that is close to scoring like his bad seasons, that would be amazing too. Hes gotten us a lot of money, lets hope the owners have the ambition to use it.

What did we win with this unicorn...🤔 We don't need a bloke to score 30 a season we need three blokes to score just over 15 and more important we need a defence that can half our goals against.

Ange must be absolutely LETHAL on football manager

Spurs manager Postecoglou won Champions League with Southend on Football Manager

In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald back in 2020, Postecoglou revealed a secret love for iconic PC game Football Manager and claimed he once won the Champions League with Southend United after taking over at the club when they were in League Two.

"I had to knock back some big clubs to stay the course," he said. "I used journeymen and loaners to get out of the lower divisions, then bought young unknowns from Italy and South America. I didn't mess about with tactics - I just wheeled and dealed. Harry Redknapp on steroids."

"I got sacked six months after winning the Champions League," Postecoglou admitted, "I'd knocked back Juventus, Real Madrid and the England national team before then.

"No loyalty after everything I did for them. I was gutted. Hopefully got a statue there."

If we can take advantage of Jota's weird Saudi situation and get him in cheap, it's a no-brainer (assuming we can clear enough space in the squad of course).

He was the Celtic player who looked least out of place in the UCL, which was supported by the stats/metrics.
