I don't think many expected them to do as well as this straight away.

Maddison fits that description though......... A "proper" "attacking" signing ready to hit the ground running.

Tbh the only name in the mix that got people jazzed was RK Muani..... And PSG's interest pissed all over that idea.....

That said; he's STILL at Frankfurt.
I guess Maddison counts but I meant a forward, a winger or striker.

If PSG are unwilling to pay, maybe we should, I don't know enough about him to say. Just feels like we're scrounging around decent but not elite prospects for a marginal gain over what we already have.

We're also paying a small fortune for all this. Not like paying 20 - 25m Euros for potential with Udogie or Sarr.

Really? So no other tottenham supporters have doubts about him outside TFC? No other clubs have doubts him? Surprised he hasn't gone already if that's the case. All I said was if PEH is sold he should be replaced. I'm not making a case for either of them to be sold, there are other players that we have a much more pressing need to get rid of.
And all I said is that we don't need to replace Højbjerg. We'll have 6 midfielders with him gone: 4 quality starters and 2 decent backups. That's more than most teams.

Thanks for the response guys!

Ya thats the basic sentiment I figured people would have behind that possibility.

The talent is their but it would absolutely destroy the PR of the team and the only way it would "make sense" is if he scored 50 a season and won you lot multiple leagues and CL. Which would never happen.

I think it would put spurs on the news for all the bad reasons
Couldn't care less if the guy scored 100 in the season and won us everything. Wouldn't want that scumbag within 100 miles of our club.

Saudi window doesn’t close for another 2+ weeks.
Might be a last option.

True...

Any other windows remain open after 1/9?

From what I just read you can only sign for a club as a free-agent IF you were already made a free agent before the TRF window shuts. If we release him after; he'll otherwise be fucked until January.

(Caveat for a keeper being that you can get signed as an emergency if all the club's senior keepers get injured. )

Based on this, it's 2 in max

Johnson and Tosin are my guess for what it's worth.

Suspect we'll keep our pallet dry and make a play for Toney in Jan.

By "this" you mean Johnson?

As for Muani............. Much like all the Tapsoba-talk for much of the summer; I think it's a leap to call Muani "elite".

Bearing in mind "elite" players are high profile enough for even a casual fan to know about; who do you realistically think we should have targeted?

I have no clue who’s gonna play vs Fulham now. Sanchez Lo Celso Hojbjerg maybe Dier Reguilon all possibly involved in transfers.
