Presumably, Brighton has a harmonious dressing room. If those are the conditions for the loan, then that's what they will have to accept. The alternative would be for Brighton not to accept the loan deal, because Fati's high wages would disrupt the dressing room harmony.

It's no different than bringing in a highly skilled contractor, who is earning much more than anyone else, to provide a skillset that may be available in your organization, but not at the level he brings. Contractor stays a few months, does his work, then leaves. No one is going to bat an eye at how much he is making, if he really brings something different that the company needs.

Now if you hired someone instead and paid them double or triple, then yeah, the employees would want to be paid commensurately.

“Has the body to play CB but the legs to play LB” sounds like the exact versatile squad option we’re looking for. It’s not inspiring but may be decent, at least he’d be better for the system than Dier, would provide some HG boost.
