Agree. The key is to get those those other additions in while the current crop of top talent is still in their prime, not 4 years after they're past their best.

Imagine these are really the new Lloris, Eriksen, Rose etc. but for the next 5 years we're struggling for proper CB depth, a real striker etc. and these lot age out and we have to start all over again. Unfortunately, I think that's the most likely scenario.

Well, Sanchez and Dier are off next summer regardless. So you'd hope we get proper centre back then (or atleast January when we try get a fee for either of them).

It's also important that we got our average age down.

I've long suspected that despite being multilingual, Eric Dier just ain't very bright.
And I think he's proven it beyond all doubt today.
If he thinks he'll score a tastey move next year because his contract has ran out, he must be as dim as you like. No-one will want a player who has barely kicked a ball all season and possibly barely even trained. He'd have been better off signing a 2 year deal anywhere and hope to sort himself out and hope to score a move to a graveyard like Saudi in 2 years.

Blokes a joke and I genuinely hope we fully leave him out of the 25 to prove a point. Pick an extra keeper or something.

5 out of 10 for me. Optimistic for some of the incomings, but losing arguably the best striker there is and not using that money to strengthen in other needy areas or to look for a quality centre forward is just unforgivable...

Bullshit.

Ange maybe wanted to do these 2 deals.

Levy dragged out the Johnson deal knowing full well he had no intent to do anything else.

Letting Hoj, Dier or Sanchez go would have cost him more in the player coming in to replace them.

Another manager left with the same deadwood Sanchez and Dier at CB that killed off the last 3 managers.

Maybe Levy can keep the nostalgia vibe going and sack Ange at half time against Burnley

Its more so because the shit stubborn players wont leave nobody else will come in im sure we had targets as said by reports if playes did leave its 50 - 50 of shit by the club and cunty players who dont want to play the game they are suppose to love. And basically the back up center back would be the kid from blackburn we got if needed. Phillips i think

Assuming we’re done, my thoughts on the window:

I said at the beginning of the window that it would be unacceptable to complete the window with a striker who scored 1 EPL goal last season.

Therefore, this has been an unacceptable window.

All the good work done at the beginning has been undone by ownership’s refusal to invest in a striker and a second high-line able center back, despite having the entire summer to do so.

The mismanagement of the squad from 2019 forward and the neglect of our own academy has put us in a position which will only clear itself up by terminating contracts and allowing players to run down their contracts. It will probably take another two or three (good-excellent) windows to put right.
Hopefully, there are two or three home-grown (club-trained) options that will help in the medium(-long term).

With Udogie, Vicario, vdV, Maddison and the emergence of Bissouma and Sarr along with fewer games, I think we’ll be better this year than last if we avoid injuries and get anything out of the forward line.
Fully Agree!

Despite signing really good players, they managed to find a way to completely neglect key areas and leave another manager short.

The team looks much better and the manager looks like he knows what he’s doing. The board are a scam.
