An option not an obligation, payable at 3 million a year for 5 years . Galatasaray going in dry on our elite businessman
What more could we do? He's under contract and quite correctly has every right to decide what's best for him and his family.

They're paying 90% of his wages. Honestly, what more do you want? Surely it's the best outcome of what had been a shitshow with no positive outcome?

Galatasary have confirmed that Tanguy Ndombele has joined them on a free loan whilst paying €3.136,000 towards his wages

Paying more like 25% of his £10m pa wages (£200k pw) but I didn't see too much competition for his signature so this is the least worst option for Spurs. Agree with the rest of your post though

Bear in mind they aren't taking him for 12 months. More like 8. So maybe 50%?

Thank god Ndombele is less of a financial burden for another loan period.

We all know clearing the decks was long overdue, squads looking trimmer and I like the focus on youth. We have lost lots of decent prospects to other clubs as there's been no route into the 1st team for a long time, althogu with Ange this may be a possibility now, adding that new Defender lad to the 1st team is a smart move, getting Dane some minutes at a competitive level is another smart move, also shows the academy lads that the doors now open again into the first team.

I'm actually excited to see if we bring some of our U21s etc into the team now as some of them look very good.

Overall the squad looks better than last season, yes we lost H but we've added goals across the rest of the team that were already there, but due to the way we played were almost never an option.

The teams now playing exciting front footed football where the players are encouraged to shoot, Ange wants to kill teams and not sit back, defenders are weighing in, midfields weighing in and now the front are starting to fire.

So yeah positive window for me, VDV, Maddison, Vicario and Solomon have already proven to be good signings, Udogie in his first full season looks made for the prem, Brennan I think will turn out to be another excellent signing, and then Phillips I think will also cope well and suprise a few people

Feely optimistic for this season now 😁

The problem with N'dombele is, everybody knows that they are not going to buy him. And he does want the Spurs salary so he won't accept a move if he doesn't get at least as much. So we will have this conversation again next summer and he will go out on lone, again, where Spurs pays most of his salary, again.

I like the idea of Doddington coming into the mix, instead of going out and buying a top class defender.
Doddington and Philipps are very young, I hope people will be patient. Ange is rebuilding and not expected to get CL so he's got somewhat of a blank canvas at the moment.

Sure I do get that BUT other clubs aren't going to stand still and wait for us to get our shit together, in this game you need to be great today not tomorrow.

It's yet another Levy gamble, trying to achieve success on the relative cheap.

All we needed to do was bring in one more senior CB to provide crucial cover for our main two instead of taking throwing the youngsters to the wolves.

We all like the thought of, bringing our own through, but I would be shocked, if come next summer he isn't looking for another decent CB.
Both are young, not sure he can wait around 3/4 years to see if they are good enough, although we hope they are.

If he doesn't have the money or the tools then he'll have to.

Come on now, it's Levy, we already know there is something wrong.
To be fair to Levy this transfer window, we've spent the 2nd most this window behind only Chelsea.

Spent about 213m.

Brought in Maddison, VDV, Vicario, Solomon, Johnson and we still spent money buying Kulu and Porro...that's quite the overhaul.

Yes, disappointing we didn't get another CB but if we perform really well, we might be able to attract an even better one next window. Also, with some guys we want to move on, we just got Sanches & Ndombele out and we've heard reports of guys like Dier and Lloris rejecting clubs that were interested.

Pretty good window overall.

I assume we'll get someone in January, Lloyd Kelly would have have a year left on his contract at that point, can't imagine he'd be prohibitively expensive.

We finished in 8th place outside European places so we needed to spend that amount and much more really because we want a squad that can compete in all competitions and we've already shown we can't do that.
