I know I just rate Maddison as a top player and a player we really need particularly if we are switching to a more possession type game. Barnes will be great competition for Son so it’s a good deal if we get both.

Can Barnes play on either side?

Only ever seen him on the left; which would't bode particularly well for Richy, Gil or the balance of the squad......

Maybe our interest in Barnes helps Leicester get more money out of Villa or West Ham?

I'm not against it; just creates the need for even more squad churn IMO.

Pretty much signals we'd need to get rid of Gil (and Peri; but that needs to happen anyway) and buy another Rfwd and we've got more pressing business right now.
