Market sets the price.

Two of the biggest spenders in the world going for Rice. Top two clubs in PL last season.

Only Bayern in for Kane. If PSG enter the discussion then we can get Rice money.

You may be fine with this but if we don’t sell him this summer for whatever is on the table, then there’s a significant risk of losing him for nothing next season. In that case we’d have 0 to replace him with. What could he do in a season that could replace 70m?

Nothing.

Qualifying for CL would help. But are our chances of losing him for nothing greater next year without qualifying for the CL greater or less than our chances of qualifying for CL?

It’s not an easy decision but I would take the guaranteed money now rather than hope for something unlikely next season. The risk is not worth it.
What's it worth to qualify for CL? How much bigger is the chance to reach CL with Kane in the team than without him. I don't know, but selling him for €70M now and miss CL or keeping him, letting him go for free and play CL the season after. In this scenario, there is always a chance that he feels that if he stays, Ange can maybe buy his way of managing the team convince him that he's better of staying.

Based on Google bard, if it's all about money, sell him.

'Based on the 2022/2022 season, here is the amount of money in Euro that a team can earn for qualifying for the Champions League:

Qualifying for the group stage: €15.64 million
Qualifying for the knockout round play-offs: €300,000
Qualifying for the round of 16: €600,000
Qualifying for the quarter-finals: €1 million
Qualifying for the semi-finals: €2 million
Qualifying for the final: €15.5 million
Winning the Champions League: €20 million"

I'd still say keep him. To dare is to do.

Levy : England International you say ? Hmmmm yeeees yes he is , defo minimum of £20M then Levy be happy

Got to say seeing Lecister relegated taking their best player and selling them Harry Stinks ..
Happy Antonio Banderas GIF

As much as Kane does need to win a trophy for his own good, going to Bayern to win a title they've won in the last 11 seasons doesn't exactly scream of being ambitious does it.

That's probably why he was so desperate to join City. Anyway who can blame him, he is an elite world class striker who has been banging them in every year for 8 years and won nothing. Now he wants an easy life.

I could see him wanting to go to Real Madrid but not seeing him go to Bayern. He might show willingness to flush out other bidders. Its patently obvious he isnt signing a new deal with us though, so personally anything over £80m from abroad i'd take. Cant see the point in starting a rebuild to have it derailed next summer with Kane and probably Son leaving. Rip the plaster off.
Real are totally focussed on Mbappe. Bayern is an easy win for him. Pick up two Bundesligas, have a chance at the CL, and back here by 33 to pick up Shearer’s record.

If are looking to actually use the money to replace Kane, he'd be a great option.

Tel, Ferguson, Hojlund and Ramos are four we should have our eyes on.
Yeah, those four would all be pretty exciting. I do wonder if Chiesa would be for sale this summer, looked to be finding his legs again in second half of the season. We desperately need somebody who can run at the opposition.

My fear for any Kane money is that it will ultimately benefit ENIC and not the football team. What exactly we gonna get for £80m that is close to Kane levels ? But it goes a long way to cover the lack of Euro money next season. I accept that he’s pretty much dammed if he does and dammed if he don’t. But Mr Levy is overseeing Eriksen and Kane running down into Sol territory. That’s our two best players of the past decade not being managed correctly, and why ? Because they see the reality of the ENIC empire or they greedy bastards ? Who knows.
You can’t force players to sign contracts, ultimately with Eriksen the mistake was not selling him immediately when he turned down the big contract offer in 2019.

Wow fook me thats circa £43M thats a steal for Chiesa , only 25 perfectly fits Ange style of play to, this guy is the mutz nutz as long as he is fully over his injury... and to think tonali went for more, this guys is top top drawer , terrifying to play against and still not peaked , bags of energy and never say die attitude, bags n bags of pace and acceleration, dribbles, can cross and shoot well would love him...

Honestly, this post is all over the shop. On one hand you're accusing ENIC of pocketing profits from player transfers (they never have), and in the same post giving them stick for allowing the two most valuable players we've had in the past decade to run their contracts down and leave on a free...and then accusing them of being "greedy" for doing so.

I don't think you really know what you want to say here, but you want to be mad at Levy.
