Source and credibility aside; I fucking hat the idea that the club would seek to announce their next trf plans just a day after the last window shit.... It fucking reeks of "Ahh, we know we didn't do enough..... No biggy though; we can just try again next time".

Probably just cunts chasing traffic tho'.

Thanks for that. Interesting that Lucas is contracted until 2024. Will we try for a fee for him in the summer or allow a free transfer?

So assuming Danjuma works out and we make him permanent - Lucas goes, Lenglet goes and Udogie comes in I’d like 4 players in

GK Raya - home grown good with his feet and a good shot stopper

LCB - Hincapie - don’t know much about him but the club seems keen and we could prob X4 his wages he’s not unattainable like Gvardiol and in love with inter - bastoni…

CCB - the tough one… Bremer would be great prob unlikely Silva at Benfica - very young? Maybe the young Ukrainian who went to Bournemouth if he’s really impressed? Kim from Napoli?

Wing forward - Olise - no brainier. Young, home grown super talented

Let Sanchez go.. loan Spence & Gil to PL clubs and then try find gullible buyers for

Ndombele
Lo celso - swap with Danjuma maybe
Winks
Rodon
Reguilon

Easy peasy. Thanks for reading my thoughts

Quite a good and sensible wish list.

The problem is that the Kane, Conte, and Paratici situations loom over everything.

Far be it from me to disagree with this line of reasoning, but I think having a rolling and forward-looking map of the positions you're looking to upgrade as you study the opening of the next window over the next few months is a pretty sensible way to operate.

Obviously you never want to turn your nose up at good opportunities, but focusing our scouting and analysis resources on a few specific areas of known emphasis should make things more fruitful come the summer.

Yeh, my point isn't to suggest the recruitment team just put their feet up until May.

My ideal for next year if Conte stays would be
Raya (£25m)
Romero KMJ (£45m) Bastoni(£45m)
Porro Bentancur Bissouma Udogie
Kulu Kane Maddison (£45m)

Forster
Tanganga Dier Davies
Spence PEH Sarr Perisic
Gill Richi Son

With Skipp, Sessegnon & Parrott making up the 25

9 HG so ok on that front.

Ship out Sanchez, Emmerson, Reguilon Rodon, Winks, GLC, NDombele if we’re lucky for £60-80m combined.

So not too unrealistic spend.

If Danjuma tears it up, potentially sign him up too (and ship Sess)

The interesting thing if Conte were to go is that there’s a few players in the outs who may appeal to a new manager

Maddison plays center or right - i would like to sign him but he'd be in competition with Kulu or an option if we went 352

Supposedly City are looking at Maddison, so it's probably not happening. Conte doesn't like him anyway from what's been reported.

For that matter Chelsea and United are reportedly after Raya, so that might also be a difficult deal, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with Pickford. We've also been linked to Meret, but that feels pretty random.

Pickford is really hard to judge. His tiny little t-rex arms sometimes let him down against long range bangers, but he's really good when being peppered with shots from close.

He's got better feet than Lloris, but he just likes the feeling of absolutely thumping the ball up field without a care about where it lands.

His constant screaming might keep a dozy back line alert or it might unsettle players who are scared of their own shadows.

KDB now 31....
BSilva (again) said to want out....

Makes all the sense in the world. Could see them stepping in to thwart other club's interest in Rice & Bellingham too.

Realistically how much do people think they’ll spend this summer? Based on how romeros price was taken out of last summers kitty, this summer we already have to pay for kulu, Porro and possibly Danjuma, so that could be upwards of roughly 90m right off the bat.

Around same as this year, so 170m. I'm really not sure we'll pay for Danjuma.
Kulu and Porro are what, 70m? So that's around 100m for a GK and 2 CBs, which is doable, plus we might actually have sales.

And converting Dejan and Pedro's deals into permanent ones opens up two loan slots as well. We have Italians in charge of recruitments and they do seem to love to loan to buy.

Firstly a disclaimer : Levy needs to be replaced for us to be successful on the pitch. Just because I think the 2 or 3 windows have been good does not mean I am a Levy fan boi and we could not do better.

Now, on to the latest window. I have been impressed with our purchases and loans the last 3 windows. Kulusevski, Bentancur, Bissouma, Perisic, Danjuma, Richarlison, Porro, Udogie - All the right kinds of players. If we signed two or three players of that age and profile every window we'll do very well in the long run. Conte and Paratici said it would take at least 4 windows to address the squad quality, and if we get a new GK and 2 x CBs this summer we're nearly there. I know a lot of fans want a creative CAM or better back up for Kulusevski (so we are more creative) but I think, if we are playing Conte's system he does not want them and the squad is (at at least was) being built to his specifications.

If there is a change of manager this summer, and Poch returned, I think he'd have more consideration for our young players (Spence, Sarr, Gil), and some of our loaned out senior players - Lo Celso (Argentina connection), and possibly Ndombele (Poch was the one that wanted him originally).

Raya + NDicka is very achievable, get it sorted, add a LW if Danjuma doesn't work out, and another CB, that'd be a good based for a window,
Achievable and achieved are very different things in ENIC land

The transfer team are in training for the next window already
