We need:
A new GK, two CBS, and an AM. As a minimum.
Exactly what we needed after the CL final (although we needed a RB too, jury out on Porro) and that's just to improve the first team.
PLUS replacing squad players.
We need to ship out:
Sessegnon, Sanchez, Tanganga, Dier, Davies, NDombele, Winks, Lo Celso and Reguillon. Forster will need upgrading unless Hugo stays as No 2. Lucas is leaving. Danjuma will need replacing if he doesn't stay.
We aren't replacing 10+ players in one window. And so our cycle of shit will continue.
We need to take what we can for our outgoing players, even if it's £100m at most. That can go into the transfer budget regardless or losses; we know transfers are amortised over time anyway, so it's still money that trickles in to offset transfers in.
Get the four RIGHT players in. Get rid of what we can. It's frustrating, but if it looks like we have a plan and are moving in the right direction I'm sure we will have a bit more patience and understanding.

Think there might be some big competition for maddison this summer. Surely all the big teams in the league will be keeping tabs on him.

CB 1: High profile, expensive star (50-65m)
CB 2: More risky punt (25-30m)
Attacker: To replace Lucas/Danjuma (40m)
We won't spend the required amount and will likely go again for cut price options/loans.
