All come down to Kane and Son. If Kane won’t sign a new deal then sad to say it’s probably United if they stump up a decent fee like £80m, while Son is pace reliant and now 30 so it might be the last time we can sell.

Club has to be proactive and positive. Use the Kane Son, and whatever little money we get for Ndombele and go straight for kvaratskhelia and Osimhen. We will still need 50-60m on top but that would effectively solve our long term attacking issues.

We would have a massive advantage over other clubs as we would be raising large amount of cash to fund it.
Who'll pay for Son, who'll be 31 in the summer?

He is still a top player or at least has a top reputation. Many clubs in Italy or Spain would take him, I mean he is a reasonable replacement for Kvara at Napoli if they sell him. We won’t get a crazy fee but the club can’t just let time eat the squad like we have allowed before.

Do these clubs in Spain and Italy have any money? Kvara for Son + money sounds like a too good to be true deal.

Other than Real Madrid , none of them have any money - so they need to find the “next” Son for a cheap transfer fee so they can sell on for big a profit. They don’t want the “past” Son on high wages unless maybe it’s on a free and a very short term contract. They’re not going to pay a fee or do swap deals which trade a player with rising sell on value for a player with falling sell on value.

So Napoli will want lots of cold hard cash for Kvara - or maybe a bit less cold hard cash and Alfie Devine (not Son).

Reminds a bit of Grealish when he's on the ball but isn't (just) looking to draw the foul. He actually rides through some challenges he probably shouldn't, but that may be a Championship referee thing.

There's also something very Frenkie de Jong about him... natural ability/composure. The pass before the assist kinda player.

Plus, if it's true he's a Spurs supporter then you have an extra emotional element that's difficult to quantify.
Is he good in front of goal? Obviously he hasn't got a lot of goals, but is it cos he's not in goal scoring situations or cos he doesn't have a good strike, like Skipp for instance?

Osimhen can either stay at Napoli who are a great side now, or have his pick from basically any other club

We are an afterthought to players like him

The only scenario I’d be fine with Kane leaving is if we were to get osimhen to replace but there’s next to no chance of that happening. If we let Kane go to utd, Chelsea would just swoop and get osimhen.

The Napoli players feel like they're out of our reach now. They have an insane reputation, they'll win the league, while we're scraping 4th yet again. The fees will also be astronomical.

Only realistic option would be KMJ. Has a release clause, making wages the only issue, which we should be able to afford (if we manage to offload Lo Celso, Winks, Lloris and others), plus hopefully Son can influence him to join.

A back line of Romero, KMJ, and someone less highly rated but good, like jurrien timber (?) plus David Raya should be good enough.

Same as that Kvara bloke......... Very rarely someone like Romero or Ndomele slips through the net, but as seen; they don't come without their challenges.

Osimhen > United makes more sense to me than Kane anyway.... They'd be buying a striker for a near decade, not a few seasons.

KMJ + Ndicka for free is the obvious ticket... You just offset one against the other and all of a sudden both become 'cheap'.

Doubt we'll get a clear run at KMJ though.... We'd just have to hope that our prev interest resonates with him (and Sonny if he's still here).

Perhaps but we might be one of the only clubs to afford £120m or whatever the price is upfront if Kane does unfortunately choose to leave. He wants the prem and that leaves clubs like Woolwich, we would be more able to spend than them.

I can think of at least in 4 the EPL alone that could if they wanted to.

(Aside: Any Kane sale would be just as likely to be 'on the books' rather than cash up as most other deals.)

Quite a lot rides on the Kane situation.

Personally I’d make him stay and play the last year of his contract. I think Richarlison was bought to be the number 9 replacement or a player we could sell on quite easily should he flop. If we do that then we only need to buy another couple of attackers and an attacking midfielder.

If he goes then I think we have to do the above but also go all out for Ivan Toney with the money.

Either way the transfer planning has to be spot on and we can’t afford a single mistake. If we fuck it up then we will be out of the European places. It’s a huge decision and that’s why I think they’ll kick the can down the road with Kane until 2024.

City have Haaland, if United get Kane that’s them, Liverpool no, Woolwich probably not, Newcastle yes, Chelsea have pushed their FFP limited using 8 year contracts so it would be harder this time. Newcastle are the obvious rival.

I want to keep Kane and sign a new deal but we can’t let Kane and Son decline/leave with a whimper.

If Arse won the league I could totally see them spend big on an ST.
Chavs.... They're bent... If they want him they'll be in the mix.
United.... Better bet for them than Kane long term.
NuCastle..... Nuff said; though still probably lack the appeal for now from a player point of view.
Dippers.... Not so likely given Nunez, but there'll be moving parts in the summer there fore sure.
City... Haaland obv, but again; financially.... Just a blip for them.

Then you have the obv. big names on the continent.....

Of course they'll have to be replaced.

Paratici seems to have a good eye for younger talent.

Let’s get back to getting younger potential players that will grow together and take pride in playing for the shirt.

Feel like we have a way too many players here to collect a paycheck instead of giving their all.
