Need to start looking at wolves they have some good players want out or they have to sell. Even the manager is on his bike out the club by the looks of it. Moutiniho whos on a free even at his age would walk into our side at the moment. And im sure neto would not cost that much as he did just over a season ago

Love how we are linked to players when we have no manager or director of football.
It’s not an ideal situation obviously. But whoever the new manager is, he’s going to inherit a squad full of players he may or may not want. So if we have a couple more, it doesn’t seem like that big a deal if our scouting team have already identified them as being potentially valuable to us.

Skov Olsen and Damsgaard apparently as well. Jensen from Brentford. Schjelderup is rated at Benfica I think?

Had never heard of them pr Right to Dream.

Edit: Nuamah looks alright:

Currently second in the Danish league with a team that has an average age of about 22 aswell.

I've never heard or seen Nelsson but he seems to be getting rave reviews online for his calmness and composure at the back as well as his dominance in aerial battles.

I love how we are linked to Managers & Directors of Football when we have no players other than Harry Kane.

Yeah, but why would we saddle him with a player(s) he doesn't want that we've only just signed and won't sell?
It's one thing him turning up for work in July and saying he doesn't want 7 or 8 of our current squad, but how does it make sense to throw in some brand new players?
If im Levy, I'd focus all my effort right now on finding potential buyers for half our squad. Don't be scrabbling around in August trying to flog them and end up giving them away for free (Aurrier, Doherty)
Make the space in the squad. Clear the wage budget. And then get the chequebook out when the new management team arrives.

At this stage, I couldn't even care less if we fail to buy the right players. As long as most of the dross that's been letting everyone down year after year is gone.
I'd take 8th or 9th and field mostly unknown youth players if we fuck up and don't buy first teamers.
For the love of sanity, don't buy anyone who isn't gonna be able to play.

Exactly. Not an ideal situation. But contrary to the belief of many on here, transfers aren’t a thirty second phone call. Takes ages to get these things done. So identifying players who could improve things and wish to join us if the opportunity is there, is the right thing to do.

And most of the discussion around players possibly joining us is being carried out by the press and us, probably not the club until we get our shit sorted. We just see a tweet from some random and get all excited and or enraged.

Hopefully your assertion that we are presently concentrating on outbound players is correct.

I think they’ve started to get more right than wrong. But honestly, don’t know them, don’t know how they work, don’t know what their remit is. I’m on the “you can only piss with the cock you’ve got” wagon right now.

These guys are in place and we have to trust that they can do the job. No choice.

Scouts are only as good as the brief for what they need to scout for.

No coach confirmed, no DOF, Data profiles still apparently being worked out and at best brand new for this season so still a learning curve.

Not exactly ideal environment for scouting well...

Considering, they did great under Paratici

Aye not ideal. I’ve said that a couple of times.

But, is there anyone on the planet that doesn’t think we are looking for a goalkeeper, central defenders, young players, possible bargains in the market?

The new manager and or DoF then comes in with a heavily scouted list of possible players to join us and then decisions can be made.

I’d be extremely surprised if we sign anyone without a manager in place. And even if we do, I’d imagine it’s because the yet to be announced manager has indicated he wants that player.

The manager is only one guy. The DoF is only one guy. Whilst they are really important to have in place, the club doesn’t stop without them.

we're already commited to spending 60 to 70 million on Porro and Kulu already. all well and good but with one game to go we have the sixth worse defense in the league.

Levy must dig deep this summer and spend another 100 million plus to fix this

lloris, forster, sanchez, Dier, davies, and persic all need to go. They're all shambolic, most been here too long, and declining. With lenglet going back to barca.
probably scrape at least 20 million for that collection of dross.

Tanganga has had a severe lack of football to aid his development so although he needs shipping out too, i think management failed him
Injuries also failed him.
And he had his chances in the 1st team.

Obviously, the scouts don't stop scouting.

Maybe the club could even get deals ready so that the coach and DOF just need to give the green light.

Still much better to just have the DOF in place by now.
