I wouldn't go anywhere near Clarke. Besides, he seems to love Sunderland.

We have a buy-back clause for Cirkin for around £5M I think. That's a no brainer.

Scott and Maddison would be great signings.

Maddison doesn't fit the script.

Not as versatile as some want to believe and he's injury prone.... Busting a gut up and down the pitch all game; he won't cut it.

With a bit of scouting there must be far more suitable ways to spend 50/60m.

As for Clarke & Cirkin, both would be better served clocking up another 40-odd champo games next season; so if there's any intent at all to bring them back, loaning them straight back would be the way to go.

In my opinion next season is a project.
I'd sell all LB's ( considering the club doesn't rate Reguilon), and have only Udogie and Cirkin as the LB options. Both can get used to the Premier League.

Clarke doesn't convince me. He reminds me of Dwight Gayle (obviously different positions). Great in the Championship, wouldn't cut it in the Premier League.

Points still stands.... He's too young to deprive of regular football..... We don't even have Europe to spread around.

Nah I disagree. Maybe we can get the price down but he’s quality

Played 30 games this season - 10 goals 9 assists for a struggling Leicester team. Bring him in!

Maybe. As I said, it may not work out. But Ndombele didn’t have any problems doing 90mins for Lyon.

I just think Postecoglou also uses a cm3 that might suit Ndombele. Even if he uses Ndombele for 69 mins or as a sub (as he is known to swap out his 8’s due to intensity).

Be nice to be given a fair chance though. Could be a viable or useful squad option.
It's not lasting 90mins that is the issue (but is also an issue), it's the working hard for every min he is on the pitch.

The 8's are also vital for the press in Postecoglou's system, so he would end up being a chink in the armor unless something clicked with him, but there is no evidence of that so far.

I don’t think he’s incapable of pressing. As I’ve posted somewhere yesterday, his pressing metrics in his first season were about the same as Hojbjerg’s. Which isn’t to say he’s fabulous either, as Hojbjerg isn’t exactly great at it, but he can do it, if coached. Whether he can do it to Postecoglou’s standard is another thing, but that goes for others too.

My biggest issue with him personally is sometimes his movement off the ball when his team have possession can be a bit meh.
