Let’s presume that one of Tapsoba or new VdV goes to the bindippers.
I’d be happy with the other, particularly if we’re playing a back four.
Having said that, are either of them left-footed?

I’d really like to sign a naturally left-footed CB who us an upgrade on Lenglet.
Look at Sanchez, he’s actually not all that bad on the right but an utter disaster when forced to play on the left.
Sanchez not that bad? 😂😂

My dream transfer summer:
Vicario 20m
Tapsoba 50m
Van de Ven 40m
Scott 20m - loan back to Bristol
Maddison - 50m
Pedro Goncalves 50m
230m

Ndombele, lo celso, perisic, sessegnon, dier, sanchez, tanganga, rodon, lloris- 100m

130m invest
Sounds good but don’t think need both madd and gonckaves. Based purely on what I’ve seen and the data PG probably seems a better option than madd. His passing looks better especially lovely mid range balls into the pen box. Not sure Maddison has that extensive passing range. PD reminds me more of kdb.

Sanchez not that bad? 😂😂
He’s better than both Dier and Tanganga as a defender. Probably would be average as far as the EPL goes — and that’s the most elite league on the planet.
He can’t play out from the back and he’s underwhelmed given the expectation that came with his fee but if you watched his defending rather than joined the general chorus of boo-boys, you might see what I mean.

Believe it or not, I haven’t actually watched much of Maddison because firstly, he’s always been such a complete penis and secondly, I cannot stand Leicester.

He’s obviously talented.

Does he do much off the ball?
He's busy off the ball ide say, but lacks a bit of intensity.

He's far from lazy though.

Going forward he's good, as his numbers suggest.

He also has that ability to pull off something spectacular too.

Not too familiar with vdv but watching him play for u21's here and he looks pretty good. Recovery pace is insane, those balls chipped in behind where Dier often backs away and welcomes pressure, vdv is eating up the ground and comfortably earning possession. Very safe with his passing so far, not trying much beyond short simple passes.

Really not arsed giving another chance to Lo celso and Ndombele.

or Rodon, Reguilon, winks, Sanchez, Dier etc

Want them all gone. Appreciate that means someone has to buy them
True but it’s gonna be difficult to get rid of them
All. Defo get rid of players who have no chance of playing plus some who performed really bad last for us. Dier, roden, Sanchez, winks, PEH as he could raise funds and if we get good offer for rich get him out and buy a quality technical forward.
Priority has to be 2 quality CBs above all else. So if budget is tight and we know our front 3 can be quality then May be keeping glc and tanguy might see us through the season. Then look next year. We know these two have quality just need to get it out of them for a year.

Absolutely.

Recognising the time to sell a top player is as important as recognising his replacement before he becomes too well known.

Squad refresh is massive, Ferguson proved that.
100% The way I see squad building is heavily influenced by his reign at Utd post 93.

He quit in 2013, cos he rightly realised that was the last bit of juice he could get out of the Rio/Vidic/Evra/Carrick spine. He simply didn’t have the energy to rebuild it.

Every 3-4 seasons there was a slight dip as he was willing to take the short-termhit of refreshing the team by selling heavyweight names,

Eg) 94/95 - Hughes, Ince, Kanchelskis, Lee Sharpe

2003 Beckham

2006 Van Nistelrooy

etc. etc.

Then look next year. We know these two have quality just need to get it out of them for a year.
You might just get a year’s worth of decent football between them — if you gave them a lifetime contract and, even then, it’s doubtful and the only quality you would get from GLC would be on his international break.
Adding to that they’re probably dressing room poison at this juncture.
We need to move them both on. Shouldn’t even be looking at them at this point.

How's this :adesalute:

Amazing 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾

The issue with the graphics is not the graphic itself. It’s a really useful way of showing information. The issue is the choice about what information to include and what to leave out. If you think about the top 7 most important stats for that position - are those the ones represented? Is it even possible to know what those are?
yes because each position has “actions” that are commonly attempted regardless of the standard.

For instance you’re not going to measure a keepers shooting, a defenders ability to stay onside or the ability of a winger to break the lines with passing in the 1st phase.

Maybe the way the club will look at it:

Tapsoba 50m = #2 CB Lenglet for 5m

or

Van de Ven 40m = #2 CB Tosin for 15m

??
We will never be free.

After the season we’ve just witnessed I’d rather blow the budget on the defence and keeper.

Forget Maddison et. al. See what Ange can squeeze out of Tanguy and GLC. We can sort that out next year.

60 goals conceded should result in the club taking no half measures towards fixing things.
