Certainly a better deal than Kepa for £72m.Seems like very smart business if he's good. At 26 has potentially 10 years of PL footie in him, low risk of injury in internationals since he's probably never gonna usurp Donnarumma, if he's not all that great £16m isn't even a terrible price for a backup GK should we decide to try again on the first team GK the following year.
Levy: Would you like any of our players?Levy is probably waiting to see if any of the deadwood can be moved to the Saudi league.
They already started going through his footage using their GK expertise to find weaknesses in his positioning…Tweet is correct. There will definitely be some “fans” who think this is merely the ‘cheap’ option and won’t even consider taking into account the rave reports from Italy about this guy, and the impressive data gathered about him.
They’ll probably accuse people who are enthusiastic about this transfer of doing ‘mental gymnastics’ to justify it or some other crap!
OK which one of you is Christian? That's straight out of the pro Levy handbook.
Wow I really hope you're wrong, otherwise that's yet another dud.I'm concerned about LB.
We don't actually have one that's any good, considering it's a key position for Postecoglou's style, I wonder if we should be signing someone like van de Ven to cover that and Tapsoba and Tosin.
Davies is finished, he doesn't have the ball playing ability to play in the half spaces like Postecoglou would want.
Sess is a nothing player and pushing him in field goes against any strengths he may have, his best work at Fulham was playing off the touchline.
Then you've got Reguilon who is coming back off an injury and I'm not convinced by his ball playing skills either to play in half spaces, but defensively probably is the best of the lot strikingly.
Perisic won't have the legs to play in a Postecoglou system, is also defensively weak and should play LW if he stays.
Lastly Udogie who having watched him a number of times at Udinese, I'm not convinced he can play in a 4 at LB. He just doesn't rack back or do enough defending. He'll be fine playing in the half spaces but I seriously worry when he comes up against a good winger.
Calm dowm. I wasn't making an argument I was amusing myself with some harmless fun.
You'd never do that...carefully handpick certain stats to fit your narrative...Yes obviously. But there are probably 20+ stats for any position and so a motivated person could easily make one player seem better or worse by selecting the right stats.
