Need to start banking with the same banks our rivals all seem to use.

Pochettino wasn't overseeing good or successful football by the time he went. It was also pretty poor at the start. People need to ground themselves a little bit, it wasn't great all the time. Conte managed to take largely the same squad that was 14th when Pochettino was sacked to 4th in the league.
Tell me it's a fact that we weren't 14th and shit when Poch was sacked.
Tell me it's a fact the first season of Poch was pretty tedius at time.
Tell me it's not a fact Conte took over a team that looked awful and got it to 4th then kept it in the top 4 only for it to drop down to 9th after he was sacked.

The only people venting opinion is people like you. We were better at winning points under Conte than any coach from probably Christmas 2018 onwards. Style is the only opinion and one I have not opined on.

Every coach throws their toys out of their pram. Whether it's a slightly crazy crazy press conference, whether it's a row with the chairman, whether it's a deliberate downing of tools to get sacked and paid off.

TBH, I wanted Conte in because I wanted him to say exactly what he said after Southampton. None of it was made up. None of it was incorrect. It's exactly what many of us have known for a long time. The squad is weak and that comes from the top down.

The problem with the bolded is that it didn’t stem from a desire to blow it all up in order to build something better. He did it to cover his own arse.

The more I think about it the more I dislike him, to the point where I even start to look fondly on the Jose years.

Cucurella was good at Getafe as well. Who played a completely different type of football than Brighton. And he was highly rated within the Barca academy system as well so it isn't like he is a complete scrub.

But it didn't work out at Chelsea and I am definitely not for buying off of them just for the sake of it.
This!

If Chelsea fucked his career, let them own that.

We aren’t paying for the privilege of getting him back on track

I think that he would have similar issues here with impatience from the fandom that he had at Chelsea.

Getafe and Brighton were great clubs for him because there is less pressure and he was allowed to find his groove at both clubs. Whereas both us and Chelsea expect more out of the gate. Just look at how long it took Emerson win people over.

The guy lost 3 friends and had major surgery but soldiered on for months. All the while, he had a squad of players literally conspiring to throw the ball into their own net multiple times a game.
I'm surprised he held back as much as he did in that prezzer.

All coaches that are sacked all do shit to get sacked, including Poch. Poch, let's not forget, played Eriksen relentlessly when Eriksen himself was not playing football. He had favourites that he wouldn't drop regardless as to form or even fitness. He also played at least a part in us not signing anyone for 2 windows. As much as we all want that to be 100% on Levy, I have little doubt Poch would rather have have had no one if he couldn't have who he wanted.

Thanks for posting, Richard.
One more season of Harry Kane will do much more for the morale of the club and the fans than any money banked for him.
Let's hope Ange can work his magic and convince him to stay.
I suspect the reason we've gone from quickly signing up Kulu, Porro, Vicario and Maddison to odd silence is because we don't know how much we have to play with.

The last thing we need to be spending money on is more f'n wingbacks!
Wings backs are the new Right Backs now. At least that what Gaz Southgate has been briefing everyone via the FA.

Right.

Emerson was also not a great fit for playing as a wing back. Cucurella would have the same issue playing as an inverted LB.

He by all means had a truly shit year on a personal level, but if it was affecting him that much he should’ve just walked away from the job, he would’ve been remembered quite fondly by the bulk of the fans.

You’re right that most appointments turn sour, but he made our club a laughing stock, only made worse by the club not acting on it immediately, and then appointing his number 2
