That means the best available players, and well rested, could figure in each team, and shear quality of players versus opposition probably made the difference - might have happened with any competent coach, not just Conte

I would guess that the 'flying' squad will be circa 22 first team players plus youngsters.
Those likely to be loaned out or sold unlikely to be flying - or if they do it will be one or two players. So squad should be motivated to play and win.
30 players on tour to play 2 games is stupid. Focus on the players who have a chance of starting against Brentford.

Given we have a new manager trying to get properly acquainted with his new squad I see no problem with him taking a large contingent on tour if that's what he wants.

So we're travelling half way around the world and back again to play West Ham and Leicester. I hope we win those matches especially after going all that distance, when one club is based down the road in London and the other is a short journey on the motorway.

Honestly we need to buy both. Worst thing we could do is go back down the Soldado path and buy 1 CF then be fucked when he doesn't pan out. Watkins is a proven 10+ goal scorer in the league, not great but not bad.
If Kane goes, we need 2 CFs. If Kane stays we need 1 CF...that way one is already bedded in when we have to buy one next summer.
