If you genuinely have difficulties separating the two things and using basic context then that's on you.

We sometimes talk about Postacoglu in here seeing as we are buying players for his team yet it doesn't result in a shit fest unlike the ENIC thing.

You might want to talk about them in the appropriate thread.
It's subjective, I and others might want to talk about ENIC here, like for example whether Kane will be sold or not. It comes down to whether Levy will or not accept a bid.

Now we know why he was a good league manager though (and lousy in cups) - play once a week and its pretty straight forward with rested players

His successor, Inzaghi, as manager of Inter already has a better record than Conte in not only doing well in league but also winning a cup and getting to the CL final ...... with basically the squad Conte had (and Conte left Inter as they refused to buy the players Conte wanted)
Think Conte is well known for using very few players through a season.
I actually think a lot of coaches struggle to rotate successfully, and it's the ones who can, that do well in the cups.
Making 6 - 11 changes is dumb. Making no changes is dumb. Somewhere in the middle is the sweet spot

Yes, you are.

That's fine of course.

Love the club, HATE the owners.

It's Tottenham Hotspur FC, not ENIC FC.

Some on here need to be reminded of this fact....daily.
Absolutely ridiculous to say you hate someone that you haven’t even met! That is so over the top.

As someone who sees the good and the bad that Levy/ENIC has done for this Club and sits somewhere in the middle of the extremists on this site, my honest opinion is those that are so anti Levy/ENIC are less likely to admit any of the good than those so called LevyBots can admit the mistakes and the bad.

Now let’s get back to discussing transfers, we all know we need some CB’s, but getting a keeper in and a very good Maddison has been a decent start to the window. I’m far more excited about him than I was with the entire incomings last season. Add Bissouma now will get a real opportunity with Ange and Lloris’ mistakes (God love him) won’t be throwing ball into our goal and we have something to look forward to….it’s July 9 and the window really just opened.

I’m really looking forward to see what Ange can do with even the deadwood, if the the attitude changes who fucking knows right?

COYS

Which lessons in particular? As there are two that I feel seem to be necessary for us to learn.

1) do the deal quick
2) get our most desired target for the position

If this is the CB we want above all others...

What if the player didn't want to start talking personal terms till last week and was considering his future?

Would you have wanted us to move on to the next target on wait to see if we could get something agreed? Honest question?

Im not sure every deal can be looked at through the same lens and perhaps we are trying to do this as quickly as we are allowed.

Not saying we haven't had problems signing some players quickly in the past, but in recent years we have done some deals relatively early on in the window and as such shows we have an appetite to make transfers when they are possible to be done, whenever in the window that might be.

If we secure our top CB target will that not be a learned lesson?
The lesson for me is get a settled squad as soon as possible, integrate as soon as possible, develop the system as soon as possible and hit the ground running.

We have a history of taking for fucking ever with the above and worse still, making signings after the season has started - why the window doesnt close the day before the season starts I don’t know.

We have the Kane thing going on - not our fault, and we are about to embark on a trip half way around the world to play some friendlies against a couple of sides no more than a couple of hours away from us without what is likely going to be our preferred centre back pairing.

If you don't like it, then just ignore it, best practice.
I have the ENIC thread on ignore.
I have the two worst offenders on ignore.

What I can’t stop is the responses to their idiocy from posters I generally enjoy interacting with and the little pack of acolytes. On a slow day, these threads are infested.
There is a dedicated thread to call Levy bald and tight and Lewis old and tight — along with the bullshit about how Levy personally scouts the players and is responsible for every aspect of every transfer.
There is absolutely no need for this to be in a transfer thread It’s spam.

I am sure you're more than capable of ignoring those particular posts, better that than get into a needless cuntoff about spelling, that just ends up in clutter,

Levy is involved in transfers,it's down to him what players we end up buying, He has history both good and bad, it's really to be expected in a transfer thread.
