lo celso is painfully average, and always injuried until argentina are ready for call ups. between the two rather tanguy all day, as he might actually score or assist
I don't know why we offered Lo Celso a contract though, after his loan spell we should have said thanks but no thanks.
The loan was just a trick to screw PSG over, and even if it wasn't, he was actually very good when Jose first arrived from November to February. It's after Covid when it all went downhill.
There's nothing that says he'll leave. Ange might want to keep him.
However, I think the stock in our squad is so low after a poor season that we may need to cash in on these sort of players to get further funds and streamline the squad. Likewise Hojbjerg etc
His stats were shit though, 2 assists no goals. 2019/2020. isn't that when he was on loan?

He was "adequate" at best for about 4 matches under Mourinho.
He's never been "very good" in a Spurs shirt. I'd rather have bloody Hoijberg play in his position.

Lo soso is the epitome of average and a hider at that. Isn't really good at anything and simply fannys around the pitch doing nothing of note.
I'm not even sure if he beats Ndombele on workrate let alone actual ability.
We have to move him on, but IMO we never played him in his proper position which ironically would suit one of Ange’s twin No 8s. He’s not a deep-lying midfielder, where he did ok under Jose, and he’s not good enough technically to be a No 10.
He is however great at going box to box and linking up with a No 10 like he does so well with Messi for Argentina. Just get the feeling he has no interest in staying here and his body does seem to fail with the demands of PL football, so best for all concerned if we can get a decent fee.
The annoying part is we could see how average he was when he was here on loan, and then we decided to offer him a contract. He's really no better a footballer than Eric Dier.
That barcelona friendly on Aug 9th wont be at nou camp as it's being renovated. Other stadium it's at think we trained there under poch. Perhaps Barcelona are so desperate to sell lenglet to us they threw in a friendly as a sweetener.

yeh hes like the midfield version of Dier. Doesnt really try, not much ability, pretends to work hard whilst doing next to nothing.
Players like Sanchez and Hojbjerg get stick but I have no doubt at all about their effort. Neither are hiders like Lo soso and Eric Dierrhea (who unsurprisingly has no interest and wants to stay).
It's so obvious that they would have released him had we not come in with a supposed bid.
Well it looks like Dier is staying, and if we end up purchasing Lenglet, I can only hope they'll be spending most of their time on the bench. It's actually a bit depressing.
