It's very out of character for Spurs Official to do full blown announcements so soon after medicals etc.
Literally every window has seen our club almost act as if the announcement doesn't really matter. The world and their aunts know it's happening, yet days go by without a word.

This year it's just done, and done quick.

id say gil could also play as a CM if needed, natural footballers can play anywhere across the middle. imo sarr is a far better footballer than skip, hes proved that from the minutes hes got. skipp is ok, sarr has shown he has the ability to be a force for us.

Issue with Gil seems to be he is very slight and easily knocked off the ball. So not sure a cm role is for him - I think 18 year old Devine is more rugged and better equipped for example. I liked the few glimpses I saw of Gil in EL under Nuno but he was lightweight then, and not sure how much things have changed since then.

I can accept that this can be a solid transfer window but brilliant?

It would be brilliant for mid table or europa challenger club.

Vicario - majority of fan base had never heard of him
Solomon - same story and didn't set world alight at Fulham
Van de ven - young and certainly not guaranteed to become the leader in defence that spurs need in the immediate future (see our promising Davinson sanchez transfer way back when)
Maddison - good signing, and is about the right level of quality a club like spurs should be targeting
Same thing every window. We sign 5-7 players and everyone convinces themselves it's been great.

if the balls moved quick and sharp his slight frame wont matter.

you been watching the training videos where they are moving the ball about quick? gil looks to be in his element. the ball behaves differently when it leaves his foot to your standard player, he has proper technique.

It's not so much the case that he's light weight but it's how easily he's knocked off the ball. There are several players - like David Silva, Modric, Alex Sanchez - who were light-weight but yet managed very well in the EPL.
