There's none, we need 2, and arguably could do with wiping the slate clean entirely there and starting afresh... I've no issue with that logic, just your example amuses me.He’s a CB that played CB and LB. Similar to what Peo did with Ake.
If we signed VDV who is to say we wouldn’t be able to use him at LB as well?
The logic I’m using is to say there is an example to show other clubs have signed 2 CBs and made it work. Where is the example to show we can’t sign VDV and Tapsoba?
Nothing is ever guaranteed, but with solid ambition you do, put yourself in a better position to achieve it.May be true but as we’ve seen with Newcastle, it still won’t be easy.
Diaby would be a great case study. Can Villa in the Conference league get one of the hottest wing targets in world football?
Not sure
And it won’t be 50m surely?
Basically guilt tripping the club into letting him go for free…![]()
President claims Postecoglou is blocking Tottenham star's dream move
Premier League transfer news - Tottenham Hotspur ace Ivan Perisic wants Croatia return with Hajduk Split but will Ange Postecoglou let him?www.hitc.com
they would be mugs to let go of him - plus I think he's the type of player Poch likesI think my main issue with Gallagher is that I don’t want us to help Chavs with their cast offs.
In Ange’s all action system he could be very good. He has incredible stamina, very fast, all action, can tackle and make a through pass. He is also home grown. Forget him being at Chelsea.
He shouldn’t have signed for 2 years then.Basically guilt tripping the club into letting him go for free…
Fwiw a player with a career like that has earned the right to a retirement season back home imo.
Did we pay Real anything for Bale? Can’t remember
It’s hard to know until we see how Ange sees the team shape. There's none, we need 2, and arguably could do with wiping the slate clean entirely there and starting afresh... I've no issue with that logic, just your example amuses me.
VDV could well get minutes at lb for us, but I think that side of signing him would be seen solely as a bonus from the club's PoV rather than an intention, we're looking at him because we desperately need a cb.
asinine comment
It’s not like he’s not one of the most professional players at the club (Kane, Hojberg, Perisic imo). He’d play if we wanted him to stay.
Not so much cast offs just they have bought so many, too many expensive players.they would be mugs to let go of him - plus I think he's the type of player Poch likes
If they do, we should definitely take him
FFP
like UEFA cares about that
It’s not about what individual players can do, it’s about 11 players gelling, become a machine, a team. Do we really want brilliant individual players like Ndombele again?Jumped out to me as well.
Gallagher would be just OK. Not an exciting signing but a worthwhile project.
Spurs fans would take to an aimless runner, pointy shouty type like Gallagher far more easily than a legit talent like Ndombele. Even if the Gallagher type made more mistakes or missed more trackbacks.
