VDV could well get minutes at lb for us, but I think that side of signing him would be seen solely as a bonus from the club's PoV rather than an intention, we're looking at him because we desperately need a cb.
Nothing is ever guaranteed, but with solid ambition you do, put yourself in a better position to achieve it.

In Ange’s all action system he could be very good. He has incredible stamina, very fast, all action, can tackle and make a through pass. He is also home grown. Forget him being at Chelsea.

Either way, CB has been neglected so badly, there is no reason not to pick up VDV and Tapsoba imo

It’s not like he’s not one of the most professional players at the club (Kane, Hojberg, Perisic imo). He’d play if we wanted him to stay.
