Argies look happy to be back...

:ange-snarl:
At least Cuti acknowledged the comms team. GLC looked thoroughly pissed off.

Over on the other site, a certain Trickster is suggesting we're getting Tapsoba & VDV2 because Romero is off.

IIRC there were vague rumours about Juve wanting him back. Noting how our Ghost of Days Past DoF, Paratici, operates, I wouldn't be hugely surprised if he's been trying to set up a Romero for Vlahovic deal in principle. In case Harold is sold to the highest overseas bidder.

GLC continues to get admiring glances from Emery and, allegedly, Xavi. So there is a market for him too.

We shall see if any of our Argies are still here come the start of the season.

I watch a lot of football.

I was merely pointing out that his goals and assists output was impressive in a very average Palace side.

Also if you had seen him play you wouldn't really see him as the same as PEH - Gallagher, especially for Palace, played further up the pitch would very often drift out the right side putting in a lot of crosses.

We tend to use PEH as someone to recycle possession a lot in the middle of the pitch, something that can also be seen by the number of passes he makes week in week out - averaging double what Gallagher would make per game.

There are numerous other ways in which they differ too.
Gallagher at Palace reminded me more of Maddison to be fair. Now, what he did at Chelsea I don’t know because I didn’t see him play a single time. Maybe he didn’t play much there last year?

Based on his Palace performances though I liked what I saw

I’d actually lose all respect for Harry if he considers going to to PSG. Bayern is one thing, but at least the Bundesliga has some notion pf competitiveness whereas Ligue 1 got taken over by the Belgian league in the rankings.
The only reason why he would choose there would be because of the CL. I'd be glad of the dough but for him Bayern is definitely the better option.

Of course he’s not as good as Kane. He is much quicker than him. If Kane does go we can’t compare anybody to him. We just go in a different direction and let someone else score goals. We’ve had great goal scorers before Kane and we’ll have many more after him. I don’t know about you or any other Tottenham fan but my world and positivity doesn’t revolve around Harry Kane. He signs an extension then good,if he moves on and we get what we want and that’s also good for me.
Fully agree

Don't think I'd lose any sleep if they weren't, though it would mean we need to bring in 3 cbs as opposed to the speculated 2...

Honestly think Romero would be a much happier camper if GLC is kept around, and more likely to strop and phone it in if he isn't. I don't want to stereotype, but obviously I will, the Argentine's seem to be weirdly co-dependant from the snippets you see/read.

He's just not anywhere near the player Kane is.

Granted Kane isn't quick but Vlahovic isn't half as crafty and not much quicker.

If we lose Kane, I don't want to see a level below #9 trying to replace him. I'd prefer to see pace, aggression and pressing from the front 3. Liverpool and City lived without a #9, Ange ball could do easily as well.

If we sign Vlahovic, it would just feel a pride signing by the club to say that "they tried" to replace him.

No one is!

You can make this same argument for any player you replace him with.

I got a feeling Liverpool are going to have a bit of a repeat of last season.

They spent big on Szoboszlai who I actually really like but I have a feeling he might just be one of them players every one really likes but just doesn't do it
They look fearsome in attack on paper, but I'm not sure that will be enough to get them back to anywhere near the winning machine they were a couple of seasons ago.

Could well be a case of them being so unbalanced that they're as likely to lose a game 3-0 as win one 3-0.

Romero is a massive player for us. Has anyone got a legit reason why he’d want to leave or the club would sell him?

We used to have a strong Argentinian group in the squad under Poch when we had Lamela, GLC, Gazza and Foyth around. Hugo also hung out with them I believe since he is a Spanish speaker.

In a way I can understand it. They've moved halfway across the world so of course they are going to hang with people from the same culture if possible.

Why would he be happier if Lo Celso is around?

Tbh paris is easier to get to from london but it's a shit league. I understand he wants trophies but amount of times I've heard ex players later in life selling their medals. Apparently hes building a mansion west side of london.
