I can't believe we have an actual bidding war going for Davinson Sanchez.

If Bristol City are holding it for 25 million then I don't think we go for him.

But it could be a repeat of the Grealish situation, where villa wanted 25 mill and we offered 3 + onomah.

Do we take the gamble?

I think we need to consider the pathway for players like Harvey White and Alfie Devine. Personally I don't think Harvey will make it with us. The club have invested in Alfie and he recently played alongside Alex at the U20 world cup. So there is a possibility they can play together.

Maybe in 5-8 years time our and England's midfield looks like this:

-------Skipp-------
-----------------Scott--
---Devine----

Could end up with a team like this:

[LINEUP]Vicario/Gunter
Spence Tapsoba/Dorrington VDV Udogie
Devine Skipp Scott/Sarr
Solomon/Moore Donley Gil[/LINEUP]

Udogie won't stick around if we're in the Championship. Skipp's gonna need to have a big season of he wants to be here next year, not mind 5-8yrs down the line.

Postecoglou has shown a preference for strikers who are mobile and agile, and who can link up with the midfielders and create chances. This suggests that he would prefer a striker more like Jonathan David than Dusan Vlahovic.

For example, at Celtic, Postecoglou's preferred striker was Kyogo Furuhashi. Furuhashi is a mobile and agile striker who is good at running in behind defenders and creating chances. He is also a good dribbler and passer, which allows him to fit into Postecoglou's system.

Of course, Postecoglou is not opposed to having a more powerful and clinical striker in his team. For example, at Yokohama F. Marinos, Postecoglou's preferred striker was Carlos Eduardo. Eduardo is a powerful and clinical striker who is good at scoring goals in the box. However, he is not as mobile as Furuhashi, and he does not have the same creativity.

Ultimately, the type of striker that Postecoglou prefers will depend on the specific needs of his team. However, he has shown a preference for strikers who are mobile and agile, and who can link up with the midfielders and create chances.
Strikers who link play with midfielders? Kyogo averaged 6 passes per game. Vlahovic averages 13, Kane averages 22.

Personally think Vlahovic would be a great signing and I really don't get the hate for him in here. Would rather Kane signed a new contract though.

Also, Yokohama didn't have a player called Carlos Eduardo under Postecoglou, their strikers were Hugo Viera, Sho Ito, Edigar Junio, Erik and Ado Onaiwu.

Scott definitely gives off Grealish vibes. He looks superb on the ball

Kane has more passes because he drops deeper than Vlahovic because we don’t have a playmaker in midfield.
