I got my Haalands mixed up, I didn't realise that Keane's victim was also a Haaland.
The point I was making is that it's not about arbitrary amounts (eg 100m v 30m).... Every deal will differ based on the perceived value of the player, how crucial the signing is deemed to be, what position they play etc. etc.
Casually throwing contracts and trf fees around without concern for repercussion is dumb whether you're Real Madrid or Maidstone.

Well last transfer windows we were desperate for a decent CB (especially in Conte's system) and we got Lenget on loan. It's as though the CBs weren't a problem area.
Those CBs got us Champion's League so they couldn't have been that bad.
