Best case scenario is they are trying to get a lower price for Tapsoba, so not announcing VDV and holding out the possibility that we are only taking one puts pressure on Leverkusen to drop the price on Tapsoba a bit to complete the sale.

Granted, our history suggests we won’t get both, but I am still hopeful the delay is about trying to get both players.

He had a bad year, doesn't mean he's a bad player. If its the same this season you can question that.

Jesus scored fewer for Woolwich than Richarlison did for Everton and people think he had a good season.

Richarlison got games last season.... Rightfully or not he was played ahead of Kulu. Then got injured.... Put in a few good performances in the NY then got dropped.

In effect what you're saying is that he was behind Kane in the pecking order...... Well yeh; obv!!!!!
 
If Kane does go we don't need a like for like replacement. That would be an almost impossible task. Someone like Vlahovic would just be a considerably worse version of him. I'd rather bring in someone that has plenty of pace and good movement. Someone like Toney would be ideal but I should imagine he would cost a fortune, and he's obviously banned for a while.

If only Evan Ferguson was coming through our ranks.
