40m for a leader that sits on the bench?

He’s a good player but would be another perfect symptom of the shit show going on with the squad planning,

They were supposedly clearing a load out to start a rebuild. This would be just adding more clutter. Starting to look like Levy is going a bit senile tbh
The problem is throwing a load of callow defenders and keeper together is no answer even if they are good players if you don’t have leadership and communication. Defending is more about partnerships and working as a unit than individuals.

I'm sorry, but this post needs pulling up for the patronising nonsense that it is.

We are not the other 80+ teams, are we. We aren't Wycombe or Wigan.
We are Tottenham Hotspur for fuck sake. One of the traditional power houses of the post war English Game. So let's not start distorting the facts with these twisted, insulting comparisons.

One of the Wealthiest clubs on the planet
One of the best supported clubs in the country
First club to achieve the double since ww2.
First English club to lift a major European trophy.
A trophy in every single decade. . before ENIC.
Record FA Cup winners . .before ENIC

NOT just one of the 80+ other teams

However you try and dress it up 1 trophy in 23 years is an utter fucking disgrace and a stain on our proud club..

All we have seen is a failure to back every manager they appointed, a failure to invest at the opportune time, and a failure to push the team forward when the chance was there for the taking.

For a supposed Spurs fan, you seem to endlessly insult the history of our club.
You revel in belittling our past achievements.....As some kind of warped logic to justify our current failings.

You're a sham, mate. Learn to show some respect to the history of our great Club

Great Post.
And a disagree from the dickhead friendly goat. How can you get a disagree for stating the obvious.

Point is they are a well run club. They have a great season and the invest substantially in the squad to get even better.

We have a great season, nearly win the league, and we do nothing.

Levy is a parisite.

And guess what - this year will be the same. For the last two summer windows I have said to people on this forum saying “we won the window” to wait till Christmas. And how right I was each time. Shambles of a club.
I refer the honourable gentleman to fattynomates post above.......

.......The Arse brown-nosing on this forum is fucking sickening.

They absolutely bottled it.

Well said.

I genuinely don’t consider anyone who spends their time on this forum sucking the gooners off to be a spurs fan, and unlike most of the time when I’m usually posting tongue in cheek, I genuinely mean that.

Imagine not thinking they didn’t bottle last season (and the season before that too in terms of top four).

Biggest bottlejobs in premier league history, no ifs or buts.

I think Van De Ven is the one we should be pushing for the most. He’s 22,just about to break into the Dutch team, lightening quick, left footed, can play left back and won’t be going to the African Nations in January. We need to sign a left footed centre back for the balance of the side and not Lenglet as first choice. Tapsoba looks the part and would love to get him too and between those two and Romero we’d be stronger than most teams in that position.

I’d prefer to sell Hojberg and keep Lo Celso, Tanguy and Devine around to cover IF that meant we could afford both.

It has to be said the window is taking on a very familar feel after a relatively promising start. Struggling to shift players and the most glaring weakness in the side left untouched. I have no idea why they took the likes of Perisic, Sanchez, Rodon, Reggie and Lo Celso on tour.

We need a lot of squad churn
and as it stands Dier, Hojbjerg and possibly Davies will be starting in 4 weeks. I want to be positive, i want to look forward to a season for the first time in 5 years but bloody hell they make it so difficult to do that. A bit more urgency and intent would be welcome but i just dont think they have it in them to change, just too set in their ways .
