A agree with a lot of this but, u can still see major bloopers by our owners. Not getting rid of deadwood, asking too much for them when in the long run it would be cheaper just to get rid. Having a scouting team not fit for purpose and wasting money on duds, Ripping the fans off, getting win now managers without backing them properly. How much money has Levy wasted on sacking managers.
That's why there's a growing disgruntlement amongst the fan base.
Yeah, that's fair. there's absolutely pros and cons completely agree.

I think some are more dogmatic about it.

I rate Rice. Clearly the best English DM in the Prem.
Really thought he was going to Chelsea or United. Timing is everything. The year West Ham make him available and Chelsea are in flux and can’t offer European football. I guess his preference is to stay in London.
Yeah, it’s disappointing that we’re not in the race for Rice-like players, although, like Chelsea, it was never going to happen for us this year.

They’ll never go away. There is a part of a fan base that won’t be happy until we are sold to a Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund (possibly via an intermediary). If it can happen to Man City and Newcastle them we demand it too. Joan and his lick-spittles were positively salivating at the chance to become PSG Nord with bent Qatari money.
Does that make you a Rice fanboy? Or that just applies to other posters on here.

Difference is Scott is 19 with nearly 100 matches at senior level under his belt in a difficult championship division. He’s shown he can handle the senior game and has huge potential.
Skipp did that with Norwich, to a greater degree, and he's been written off by more than a few on here.

If we were to get Scott, I hope to God he hits the ground running, and doesn't have a dip in form.

That's all you really need on here to be classed as "shit," needing to be moved on ASAP (or tear up his contract), then accuse Levy of being tight for only going after a Championship player.

🤦‍♂️........I'm not saying it isn't.....once again I'll repeat......i was just pointing out to a previous poster (i've forgotten who it fuckin was now) that they have won those 3 trophys in that time and not none as he stated.....shit a brick....
No idea what your discussion was, but all I can say is that I was 20 in 1980, a rural Norfolk boy living pretty near WHL. Apart from in the early 60s there wasn't a better time to be Tottenham.

??.....we were talking about Utd for some reason that I've forgotten about Bill!....👍
Yeah, couldn't be arsed to find the context. Wife has gone to bed, I'm sitting alone in the garden with a beer I might not finish... There's so much bad feeling on these threads I just wanted to remember good times.
The train up from London Fields... The floodlights... That nice pub next to WHL station...
Forgive me, I'm having a senior moment. I don't like everyone whinging about the lack of signings or ENIC in or out... I just love Spurs me.

It was a scary time though.

I was early teens then, and got to every match that my part time job would pay for. Hooliganism was in full flow then, and some matches were terrifying.

I remember coming out of the Paxton end with my cousin, who was the same age as me, only to run into about a dozen City fans. We'd just beaten them and they wanted blood. They were tooled up, including Stanley knives, which they used to double blade so you couldn't stitch up where they cut you.

They chased us out to the High Road where, luckily, there was a mob of Spurs fans, who then proceeded to beat the living daylights out of the City fans.

I never told my old man this until I was in my 20's, he'd never have allowed me to go again.

A great time for the Football, terrifying elsewhere at times.

I fear I may have put a downer on your mood by bringing up the hooliganism Bill, apologies for that.

Hopefully this makes up for that...
