My feeling is £105m for a defensive midfielder is an absolute nightmare. If he started to chip in with goals, and I mean 7-10 per season then and only then could I see or even want us to spend that kind of money on Rice or ANY other midfielder….but that’s just my opinion. Goals wins games so money like that should only be spent to buy goals.
I 100% expect it to blow up in their face and gleefully await it. He'll be the millstone that drags them back to midtable.
