Distaste for scouse, George, Airfix, Le ParisienI reckon George, Airfix and Le Parisien are all the same poster.
Let's look at the evidence; They all profess to be intellectual juggernaut's despite having the common sense of a tea bag. They all like to condescend, they all like to slip in the odd post telling us how much they are worth or what assets they have.
They all like to type 100 words when 20 will do.
They all like and agree with every single post the other makes.
Same gooner on a long troll game I reckon, posting from his mother's basement.

If starving in the dessert…Agree with all that. I think we could do better, certainly for the wages (TCO) but he’s a half decent player and better than Dier
I've never understood why we don't aim to sign more experienced (29yr+) CB's to fit into the team rather than trying to find the next big thing in the 18-23 bracket. There are plenty of seasoned pro's who can play as a solid CB partner for our more unpredictable defensive talents and teach them a few tricks. I remember seeing Noureddine Naybet join us for a couple of seasons as a 33yr old and watching him alongside Ledley he displayed a number of the 'dark arts' that we really miss from our traditional CB choices and made King a more effective defender in the process.
Davids was generally sloppy, huge disappointment but as you say still had a broader impactI've never understood why we don't aim to sign more experienced (29yr+) CB's to fit into the team rather than trying to find the next big thing in the 18-23 bracket. I think you could also have said the same about Edgar Davids who joined us towards the end of his career but brought a cutting edge and aggression missing from our midfield play at the time. Unfortunately it seemed like his engine started to fade midway through his 2nd season.
Our asking price is around 15m, I doubt that they can afford that.
We literally signed Maddison a month ago.Our entire policy has always been the next big thing 18-23 bracket.
We don't sign established players.
There was almost an open top parade for the Perisic signing. All had to hail the new flexibility Levy had shown to give Conte what he wanted.

Good. Needs to leave.

Completely agree re Naybey too. Lewis Dunk as an example - although I guess he would be priceyCertainly in his second season (iirc, starting in preseason) he'd deteriorated quite a bit and was making stupid fouls to compensate - but yeah, he brought a winning mentality as much as anything else and we definitely saw the benefits at the time.
