This happens when Kane isn't around to bail them out and Son is off to Saudi for his final pay day.

They have been able to invest the base level because HK and Sonny have scored the goals to get them in the CL.
The thick little dwarf can’t foresee this. Shit like Richarlson will see us relegated and uncles Joes investment tank. Hopefully the tortoise faced old fuck hires a Bermudan hitman to send Daniel
Leachy to the bottom of the ocean

Tapsoba is under contract until 2026.
Leverkeusen finished higher than we did. They qualified for Europe.
I checked their last financials I could find which were admittedly a little out of date. They’re not under any financial duress.
Put together with one of their star players already leaving, I’d say that they’re not going to sell unless they get a way over value offer and/or the player agitates for a move. I think we can rule out the first happening unless someone suddenly catches religion. If that were to happen, I think it already would have unless we plan to give in at the very end of the window.

We get our centre backs in and pretty much all the top 6/7 clubs have improved their weak spots. Going to be one of the most competitive seasons in a long while, I feel.
its going to be very close if we can get 2 competent CB's in. city were well ahead but it looks like they are gong to be weaker next year. the rest were all quite close anyway, Woolwich wont be as lucky next year.

Yes, I’ve always said that ENIC will invest just enough to protect the value of their asset and won’t put in any more than that to put us into the next level. This is understandable from a business perspective but enormously frustrating from a fan’s point of view.
Having said that, the idea that they have made 5 billion ( or stand to make 5 billion at sale) is fucking preposterous. It’s entirely possible to criticize Levy — as I feel you do which is why I engage — without resorting to utter BS.
what would the club sell for ?

At some point, surely their frugal, zero investment strategy has to pivot to use a small % amount of the many billions they’ve speculated - top stop their paper value sliding as the team slowly dies off
That’s a cool way of putting it.

When you go all “was expecting them to drop £500m this summer”, not soo much.
