Nobody would have argued that we weren't a bigger club than Chavski and City before their money got pumped in but now we are reduced to try and be a super league club by the back door, the only super league club with 1 trophy in 23 years to their name, it hurts but this is the reality I'm afraid.We are indeed a massive football institution. Just a shame the owners play off that for all their non footballing enterprises.
If they showed the same determination in the transfer market as in the property market we'd certainly be going places, I feel.

It’s impossible to tell exactly what’s going on, but it feels like Kane is doing his best to leave on good terms. He isn’t signing, but he understands what going to a rival would mean to fans.
Really do think this is our best option. It’s going to be hideous, but this club just needs to move onto the next stage.
Jacob is one of the better Spurs journos over the years. Doesn’t constantly post like Ali G, but when he does it’s usually bang on. Defo has good sources at the club.

Disagree, personally. One season of his goals wi help Ange through the transition so much. Selling him and we could be in big trouble next year if we get off to a bad start.

That's not what I said. Going after players like Douglas Luiz and Conor Gallagher is stupid and a waste of time. We can decent players with a good scouting set up and recruitment.

Ever since he felt Levy broke his word over the City move he was never gonna sign again. It was obvious that it was a principle thing.
Levy never broke his word to Kane. Kane was on the market for a reasonable price of around 150m, City never came close to matching it.
I don't know if credit is the right word, but I note with interest that these top four state-owned Saudi clubs are buying a fucking shedload of players.
Levy seems to be reluctant to move on .
I am a critic of Levy but in this case he was 100% correct. Kane finished the season top goalscorer and assister, ie the best player in the whole league.
3 year deal and 27 years old. Levy probably wanted about £200m but I think £160-170m would have been reasonable and got it done. City came in with low ball £100m apparently. There was nothing for Levy or the club to work with.
It was well documented that Kane felt Levy broke an agreement to let him go for a reasonable price if they didn’t qualify for the CL. City and Kane’s camp felt Levy wouldn’t engage in dialogue.
