We played low-block football with 3 centre backs and 2 more defensively inclined midfielders all of last season but now we're going all out attack with 2 centre backs we will concede 10 less goals because of Bissouma?

I mean, maybe. But it doesn't sound all that convincing.

Maybe look at it as replacing Dier or Lenglet (CB's) with Bissouma (CM(.

Neither Dier nor Lenglet looked very solid last season as CB's but Bissouma at Brighton looked a top class CM/DM and if he can resume that form would certainly be a big improvement on one of the CB's.

I think Romero would be one of those that we need a fast recovery CB to cover, though I do agree he has enough pace to do just that.

It's such a glaring weakness that failure to address the issue would nigh on be self sabotage.

But they haven't failed yet...

Running out of time though.
Agree, Romero is the aggressive type and the best partner for him has pace and the ability to read the game to cover for him.

Ledley king would be amazing.

We need to save money for the centre backs. When do you reckon they will arrive. I hear Joe Rodon will be like a new signing.
I'd rather not sign any new CBs tbh

We've got the best CB in the world right now in Romero , and he's a super committed type of character too

And then we have a number of rising stars that can be nutured by playing alongside him , the likes of Dier , Sanchez , Rodon and Tanganga all have phenomenal potential upside

Tell me why would we bring in new CBs to block their pathway? And who would be willing to come in and sit on our bench ?

When you factor all of the above , it makes zero sense to go out into the market and risk putting the club's future in jeopardy for a position that we are so well stacked in

People need to remember that the owners run this club as a business you know

The sooner people accept that , their mental health over Enic/Levy will improve

You also have to consider FFP and homegrown quotas too you know
