Marca (Real Madrid media) proper trolling us the buggers. Not in a million years would we have made a bid. I do find Real Madrid making us pretenders to him very funny though.

Why gamble on a wide forward instead of a CF I think is the question?

Why Doku over Toney for example (outside of the ban)?

You need to stop referencing the “6th highest scorer in our history” too, when 95% of those goals were scored playing a position you suggest moving him from.

Look I’m not against giving Richy a run and as I said I can see some logic in playing Son through the middle, what I find incredibly naive about your analysis is that you seem to think Son can play effectively as a CF for a whole season for this team, when his back to goal and hold up play is horrific.

We know we’re going to play better football and have the ball more, but there are always times when you need an outlet. It doesn’t mean we need a lump, it means we need more than Son offers in that area.

It’s a huge risk.
This just begs the question that we paid £60M for rich initially he was someone who could play any front 3 pos. Now everyone says he needs a run in his “preferred” pos as CF even though in his career he has played a wide role mostly. What is galling is we can’t trust a £60M player get us the goals bcos his basically crap. If we had spent the £60M last year better we may have been in better position now if Kane leaves. In effect if we spend say £70/80M on a CF we would basically have almost £150 of forwards. That should on paper be top 4 at least.

Interesting wording from the Athletic article.

"Ideally wants".

Levy just can't get his head past the thought of getting Lenglet for free on deadline day. The temptation is too much for him.
We need two quality centre backs . I fully expect to be both disappointed in who we get and angered that I renewed my season tickets . I like to think I am reasonably intelligent yet somehow I end up getting taken for a mug every May by Baldy . I would not blame Ange if he did a Santini and told Levy to do one , obviously I don’t think he will , but I reckon the frustration is probably just starting to kick in

Any new centrebacks we get now, ha ha, will have hardly any proper matches outside training exercises before kick off. We don’t seem to be close to offloading any unwanted players not even to the oil states as others seem to be doing without much trouble. How many years since our new stadium opened and still no naming rights deal achieved. Our new Footballing supremo ,Scott Munn well where the hell is he?

This club really needs new owners!

What has naming rights got to do with transfers?

Player are bought all the time and slot straight into the first team without playing loads of pre season games to bed them in. Happened with two of our most recent signings in Kulusevski and Bentancur.

That’s the problem with changing managers every season. Richarlison was a good fit for conte’s system (although he didn’t show it) and now AP plays his wide players completely differently

No mate, the funniest thing is you and the rest of the enic levy hipsters after all the evidence and neglect of the football team over the last 23 years still have a deranged love for them.
Keep it up it's the funniest thing I've seen on this forum.
You don't seem to be laughing too much, mate. All I see you doing is whining and being angry.

Incoming signings are on the horizon.

I don't think even Levy wouod see any wisdom in being obdurate to the extent where be would get it even more than he already does.

I think anything less than 2 centre backs and a striker (if Kane leaves), would see Levy under unbearable and probably justified pressure.

But for a bit of context, there is little transfer movement at present, other than towards the obscene cash cow of UAE.

I don't really get it...

We are currently in talks regarding moving PEH on.
And then we are linked with midfielders such as Gallagher and Douglas Luiz for example...

But why the fuck are we not after Ward-Prowse?
He is HG, known quality, from relegated club. He should be gettable for reasonable fee?
Say we sell PEH for 40 mil and buy JWP for same amount - that would be an obvious upgrade and improvement of HG situation?!?

Or is that one of the moments when this deal would be too logical for Spurs to follow through?
Not good enough and is 29 I think so why soend say £40M on him? Anyway if PEH goes do t see any reason why we need to replace him. We have Sarr and skipp who can do his job. Also we have Alfie , gio and tangay unless we are getting g rid of all of them? Use the money towards the 2 quality CBs we need which is far more important.

I mean, we don't even seem to be doing any monitoring of Alex Scott, silky midfielder, Championship Young Player of the Season and self-confessed Spurs fan...

If we're missing that tap in, then anything's possible.

I guess it's much better to let him go to a mid-table club and then try and tempt them into selling 6 months later for less than they bough him for...
Yea if we sell PEH then get Scott fir £20/25M. 10 years younger than jwp.
