We were not comfortably in top 4. Our performances until that point were only good for 7th and that was with 2 more games played compared to our other top 4 rivals.

Madrid can be a poisoned chalice. It's a 2 club league, but the supporters are on your back if you're not trouncing it and beating Barca and winning the CL. And Madrid turns on everyone at some point.

At Bayern it's hard not to win the double. CL is the only competition, and even then they aren't bent on it like the Madridistas.

Bayern just seems like a comfortable football life. Make a lot of money, live in a nice city, worry about very little. I can see it's appeal.

There is a serious distortion here and like Mane I can see it going quite badly, but either way, someone needs to stump up or the club need to have and stick to a no go date.
