Ridiculous that we’ve not got a centre back in.

The most glaringly obvious hole in our side and we’re a few weeks away from the start of the season without one.

“But you need to get players out the door before you bring new ones in”. Then why haven’t we done it?

Levy really doesn’t like giving managers help does he. “Here’s an uphill battle but before you set off, carry take this deadweight up with you.”

Apparently new technology installed has identified Tapsoba and VDV as the most ideal defenders for Ange’s system so the question arises that why we have not bought either of them. It seems to be a waste of money in setting up the new tech.

Is that not like asking why have Bayern or PSG not just bought Harry Kane yet?

The selling club has to actually want to get rid, unless the right target is hit?

Doesn't fucking matter.

None of us get paid to talent ID for the club.
If that’s the case then why does everyone throw a fucking shitfit when the player we’re linked with doesn’t sign?
I don’t suppose we have too many Burkino Faso watchers on this forum but so many are so heavily invested in players that they’ve never seen that it’s going to be a disaster if we don’t sign them.

We haven't bought them yet because they cost money. Money that could easily be spent on installing a state of the art Karaoke bar for corporate stadium clients. Don't worry though, Levy is currently trying to arrange a swap deal with Tapsoba for Joe Rodon and half a Curley Wurley.

Fingers crossed!!

Perhaps.

But if we were willing to go to the lengths of feigning ambition, why on earth would we use Tapsoba of all players as the pawn?

Half of this fanbase had never heard of him.
I think you're being generous. I'd imagine no more than 15% of Spurs supporters had ever heard of him before this summer.

Of course, if we don't get him now it'll be the reason we fail next season.

:ange-lol:

Oh I'm sorry........ It's just like you have been speaking like you know EXACTLY what's going on.

No.... I'd much rather have seen some more players sold..... I didn't argue that point with you, so pls drop the strawman..

I asked you what "TWO" deals had been "scuppered". You cited 2 deals which still very much 'alive' and near completion (PEH & Dav) and then rattled off some random names about which we've seen no reported interested.

......Perhaps you think that all we need to do is merely declare our junk for sale and the Saudi's will shower us with petro-dollars; but alas not.

Funny; cos it just read like the rest of your hyperbole.

So in context; it should have just been ignored? If only I'd have know....

Not exclusively, no....... But that's why it's all "dragging" out is it? (i.e. Your OG complain that I responded to)

I called you a twat for chatting shit at me about sucking Levy's cock......

Spare me your indignant, back-peddling innocence crap. You're the one that saw fit to start with the insults.
If I can’t mildly exaggerate my moans on a bloody Spurs forum given the state of the club then I fear I am not long for this world. The club has just come off our most embarrassing season in ages finishing 8th and going through 5 managers in less than 2 years. Excuse me for not feeling so charitable towards the good intentions of Levy and others in charge after the disaster of our 22-23 season.

The most glaring one is the completely unresolved deadwood situation.

If the season begun tomorrow (and it’s really only 3 weeks until it does) we’d have 6 unregistered senior players most of them on big wages. Obviously some like Lloris will go on a free but still. On a macro level it’s either a) Levy is being tight and demanding higher fees for these players or b) we are not receiving any concrete interest at a remotely fair price for any of our dozens of potentially wantaway squad players.

I’m not sure which is more depressing.

And again, the things that I do know Levy controls such as our back room staff have not been addressed. Who the fuck is leading the transfer charge? Who? Why is Paratici still somewhat involved but not really? Why hasn’t he been officially canned given that he’s literally banned from football? Why hasn’t there been any clarity or announcement about that? Do we know what we’re doing?

I apologize for the personal attack and if you’re willing to drop it I am. God knows I don’t have time for a petty personal feud on here.

Does it matter?

Did they get a good LCB in?
a·vail·a·bil·i·ty
/əˌvāləˈbilədē/

noun
  1. the quality of being able to be used or obtained.
"turkey producers had been losing sales because of the all-year-round availability of beef"
    • the state of being otherwise unoccupied; freedom to do something.
"they inquired as to my availability for a game the following evening"
    • INFORMAL
the state of not being currently involved in a sexual or romantic relationship.
"if she tells you she’s single or implies it in any way, it could be her signaling her availability to you"

We're going to be so fucked come the start of the season, aren't we?

Shame as on paper it's not that bad, could've been a great chance to start off strong under a new manager.

Transfers aren't always easy, especially in the current climate where Saudi Arabia are trying to buy every player not nailed down, but it does seem a tad worrying that we're still trying to get in at least one new CB with August just one week away.

Seems like someone's really dropped the ball but I doubt there will be any consequences, after all Lads, it's Tottenham.

I think people are just tired of moaning tbh.

Post would have been better received if you didn't purposely spin based off your own narratives of what you want the situation to be.
