You realize how silly this witty comparison is when they've already brought in 2 very highly rated midfielders early on for significant fees to fix their weak spot and this guy is just the cherry on top of the cake vs us having not signed a single centre back?

It's not really a cherry on top, Fabinho is currently their only DM and he's: a) shit b) possibly getting transfered to Saudi Arabia. They currently have TAA playing as a makeshift DM in their friendlies cause they don't have enough bodies in the midfield.
I'm saying Reguilon was not a club signing. He also successfuly replaced Davies, and only got binned off when we moved to a wingback system.
Total drivel, Davies has been a steady player in two different positions since he signed here. If he had more players like him instead of defenders like Tanganga and Sanchez who struggle to even stand up we wouldn’t be in this mess.

I'm pretty sure we will be lucky to get both Tosin and VDV at this point. More likely is Tosin and Lenglet or Joakim Andersen.
If Harry goes, I'd be over the moon to replace him with one of Kolo Muani or Vlahovic, but doubt either would happen. Maybe Jonathan David is achievable for what we would be willing to spend/player aspirations for European football.
