New (old) links today to Ibanez and a young forward, Elye Wahi.
Anyone know anything about Wahi? I thought he was going to Chelsea.

:ange-snarl:

After some information about his club and international career, the page details two concerning events involving Wahi under the sub-heading 'controversy'.

It reads: "In October 2021, a 22-year old woman filed a legal complaint against Wahi for violence that resulted in her being incapable to work.

"She claimed that he had punched her in the nose during an evening out at the L'Entrepôt nightclub in Lattes, Hérault, on the night of 12–13 September a month earlier."

The following month, Wahi was allegedly expelled from Caen's academy, where he spent two years.
"In November 2021, it was revealed by investigative reporter Romain Molina that Wahi had been expelled from Caen's youth academy for allegedly pressuring secondary school students to masturbate in front of him in the bathrooms."

Sounds like he'd fit in at Chelsea or woolwich

Sounds like a wanker to me

Sounds like he'll fit in a treat at Stamford Bridge

Stay clear of wahi. Talented but too much trouble outside of football to be worth it. Feels like a player who gets a big contract and has an Aubamayeng career. Fine but not for me.

If Kane goes out and Muani comes in and we get an LCB then this has been an 8/10 window.

As one of the two 8s alongside Maddison
With the really fast pace that Ange will have the team playing he’s likely to make more use of our subs so plenty of game time for both. What is concerning is that it seems to be that any player purchases seem to be dependant on sales. Therefore Kamada on a free could be important. Hell‘s teeth are we that hard up?

maybe we should replace Hojberg with Redondo Jr?

They call roundabouts "Redondos" in Spanish. Would def be an upgrade on Hojberg who is more like a traffic cone defensively. At least they would need to go around Redondo.

Hardly impressive HL vid. But give him time, he's only a kid. Got great genes too. What a player his old man was, loved watching him for Real and Argentina. Shame injuries ruined his career. Was a class act too...IIRC when he signed for AC and got a very bad injury, he told them not to pay him til he was fit again.

Let the Chavs have him, he'll fit right in.

Big problem is the striker dominoes this summer.

Probably goes like this:
Kane - Bayern
PSG - Vlahovic
Manure - Hojlund
Juve - Lukaku

BUT

If any of those don’t happen, those teams start looking at Muani and we are back to random b list strikers from Fiorentina
Worst case scenario we can play Richy / Son as strikers, maybe get Toney in Jan. I prefer Kolo-Muani though.

I do think, of the options on offer, Vlahovic would be our best bet. Putting aside the fact he’s likely say no, I think he has the underlying physical strength to cut it.
