Do we think we're not buying any CB's as Levy wants to end the window on a high? If he had signed a quality CB two weeks ago, it would be near forgotten by the time we sell Kane. Then the fanbase is fed up again. I'm guessing we sell Kane and then go after our targets. Far from ideal and classic Levy, but this might be the play.

They are obviously stalling.

For what reason who knows.

What’s the reason for the outgoings not happening?

At this point we can only assume we are asking for transfer fees that aren’t appealing to anyone.

The longer we keep the prices in an unappealing range, the harder it will be for us to get incoming players after any sales.

Just another brightspot to observe from this TW, back when we signed Maddison we actually appeared on track to improve our HG situation for the first time in ages...

Granted not such a big deal ahead of a season out of Europe, but still sensible to work on now as opposed to waiting until it becomes a pressing issue again, though maybe that's wishful thinking in itself I suppose.

Anyway, fast forward to now and it actually looks more likely that we'll be worse off than before, more and more people seem resigned to Kane leaving by the day, even with no actual tangible movement on that front, links to Alex Scott have dried up quicker than the waterways in mainland Europe right now, Fulham's reserve CB would rather piss off abroad than join our travelling circus, our move for Blackburn's work experience lad has stalled because we don't want to commit to paying add ons if he actually turns out to be decent, and we've sold Winks...

:ange-blow:

Absolutely nothing is fucking happening and we're going to suffer because of this embarrassing level of inaction.

I predict 3 to 5 games where PL teams are trying to work out whether we're good or not. When they realise it's the same old fragile defende and gutless mugs, we'll take some absolute batterings.
And then the person that causes it will sit there, with his Mrs hand on his knee, like he's the fucking victim in it all. Then he starts looking for  another coach.

I don't care what anyone thinks of Ange, he's not being given adequate tools to compete. And unluckily for him, he will be the one to pay for that.
Get ready because some are going to say he was backed.
Porro 39m
Kulu 25m
Solomon free
Vicario 17.2m

Exactly they need to cut their losses and move on. Quit haggling over a couple million. Not sure it’s credible but one article said we could’ve sent Sanchez and 15m Euro for janssen. Just do it already. Chelsea paid what 65m for Pulisic and just sold him for 20m? If you want a good team, you have to be decisive and willing to take a loss here and there.

According to the Express, their jet has been cancelled:
We should contact them about the technology that allows them to cancel things that have (supposedly) happened in the past. This could change everything! Brexit, Dinsosaur Deaths, Marathon-Snickers. Fuuuck.

This is why Ange took the whole squad to Oz and Asia, he knew that the likelihood was that there would be no more transfers in and out before the start of the season so he will have to build a team from the players he already has. Levy probably tipped him off saying that Kane will go towards the very end of the window and then Ange will have the money to bring in who he wants.

If Ange isn't backed I will be very upset. I can understand Levy not wanting to lavish money on Conte because he was a dick but Ange is a decent bloke and all he needs is a couple of decent defenders. We are so close to having a decent team that actually plays football and I will be so upset if Levy fucks it up.
